Rainbow Bridge is the largest known natural bridge in the world, with a span of 278 feet and a height of 309 feet, commonly compared to the size of the U.S. Capitol in Washington. There are a few trails that lead to Rainbow Bridge, but the best one begins at the Rainbow Lodge Ruins (a failed early attempt at bringing tourists way out here). The extremely rugged road will bring you past Navajo Mountain and then to the trail head a few miles down the road. The trail to Rainbow Bridge drops nearly a mile in elevation within the first 30 minutes of hiking, and then the trail follows a narrow canyon where you'll meet a river.
