The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman

We recently stayed here. Let me start off by saying I’m a Marriott Loyalist Platinum elite member who knows brand standards. You don’t receive Marriott Benefits so pay if you want to play or want breakfast. Pros: the property has GOLD STAR service, doesn’t matter who you are everyone received great treatment from check in to check out, Cons: small shower stall, the mediocre “renovation”, expensive, and don’t honor Bonvoy benefits (but that’s a Ritz thing). There were a few staff that stood out. Branko by the pool made sure we had everything we needed while our home away from home. David and Jean at breakfast always took care of the family. Overall, despite the price we will return.

Stayed here in July 2024, and this review is long overdue—but unforgettable experiences deserve to be shared. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm and polished, the kind you expect from a Ritz. The beachfront location on Seven Mile Beach was picture-perfect, and the water? Just stunning. Our room was luxurious, beautifully maintained, and a true retreat after sunny days out. We dined at several of the resort’s restaurants and were never disappointed—fresh seafood, tropical flavors, and consistently good service. Whether lounging by the pool, enjoying the spa, or soaking in the views, everything felt effortless. We could not have asked for a more beautiful and romantic escape for our wedding anniversary. Each team member contributed to our amazing stay. 1. Sam - amazing Valet. Provided a great welcome 2. Kerry-Ann and Yvonne housekeeping. The room was always so clean and flower petals and swans were so thoughtful! 3. Steven - great service at the beach day bed. So glad we rented that. Drinks and fruit platter were amazing. Day bed has the best view of the water. 4. Karalyse - Saint June. Great service. Their fish tacos are perfect for a beach day lunch. The musician at Saint June Saturday night was amazing too! 5. Seven waiters - so many great waiters. The food was amazing. Breakfast buffet is great too. 6. Interior design is lovely. Well maintained and captures the environment. 7. Private dock for excursions! Use the Ritz' private dock for the sting ray/snorkel/star fish adventure. It was our favorite part of the trip! 8. Spa! The staff was amazing. The therapists were incredible. The interior design however could use a major renovation. But the treatment was amazing. 9. Silver Leaf lounge - Javier made amazing coffee with a smile! In summary, if you want to feel spoiled, this is the place. It is expensive, but we went there to experience luxury for a special occasion and we got EXACTLY what we were hoping for. Bring a decent amount of cash to tip the staff. The front desk can break larger bills and there is a ATM. Off site: 1. Walk to Tillies for dinner. Great ambiance and food. However I hope they fix the womans bathroom door. A little girl was trapped in there, but maintenance staff did arrive quickly. 2. Grand Old House. Great food, beautiful sunset view. Great staff. We even got a tour of the facility and the great wine selection. This resort spoils you and is the perfect setting for enjoying this most beautiful island! We felt especially taken care of as at every corner the staff went above and beyond to help us celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. I actually cried when we checked out. LOL, I did not want to leave! Oh, and it is a super quick cab ride to the airport. Very safe and clean experience. This is the first time I felt super safe leaving a tropical resort when vacationing. Super safe and clean. Taxi ride is $30 USD to the Ritz for 2 people. If you share a ride with another couple, you will be charged $30 USD per couple. Some taxi's only take USD. You will be charged $2 or $3 more for a CC.

I was lucky enough to be my friend's +1 on her rewards trip for work. I've had the privilege of staying at many luxury hotels and this is at the top of my list for service, location, cuisine and amenities. Above all, the service was unparalleled. Staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and make sure you aren't lacking for anything. Jorenz, a server at Andiamo, and Akmal, who was our server in our beach cabana, were especially exceptional; friendly, helpful. The grounds were lush and beautiful, the gorgeous white sand beach skirted by turquoise water was spectacular.

It was amazing as always ❤️, we went there last year to visit the best bartender on the island our lovely Cristina is from the Cayman 🇰🇾 islands we know her for 9 years now she worked @ the IHG for years and we could never forget our lovely Cristina, we are also a big fan of her Boss Brandon we were hoping to see him this time but he wad busy and we will be coming back for sure, the Ritz is a beautiful place and I highly recommend it .
