From the time I reserved our rooms to the moment we drove off the property, LASR never missed an opportunity to exceed my expectations. Tucked away off the beaten path, it felt worlds away from the city. The food is excellent, the beds comfortable, and there were ample opportunities to participate in a group exercise class, a cooking demo, water activities, or just relax by the pool or in one of the many quiet nooks or "parlors". This was my second trip and I will definitely be back. The spa was exceptional as well. I don't believe I've been to another spa with a menu of services as broad as LASR. Plan on spending several hours at the spa. Have lunch at the cafe, relax by their pool, and hang out in the serene Blue Room. Don't forget your swim suit so you can take a dip in the whirlpool or sit in the steam room. This was the perfect setting for a team trip. There are activities that appeal to everyone whether they are looking for something athletic or just want to relax. We regrouped nightly at dinner to share the day's discoveries. My team will work even harder the rest of the year to be rewarded with another trip to LASR. Our patients will also benefit as my team aspires to treat them with the same exceptional and perceptive service that we received at LASR.

Our mother-daughter trip to Lake Austin Spa Resort was everything we hoped for and more. We came looking for a relaxing, rejuvenating getaway and left feeling completely recharged. While it’s smaller than some wellness resorts, it truly feels like the perfect size — intimate, boutique, and incredibly welcoming. We couldn’t speak more highly of the food, staff, and amenities. The atmosphere is luxurious while still feeling casual and comfortable, and the staff made every part of the experience feel thoughtful and personalized. We especially loved the incredible variety of fitness classes, wellness activities, and amenities included in the stay — there was always something to do without ever feeling overwhelming. And the food was absolutely exceptional. Every meal was fresh, creative, and delicious, and the chef did an amazing job accommodating dietary restrictions without sacrificing quality or flavor. Such a special and memorable trip for us — we can’t wait to come back!

Things got off to a rough start when trying to book arrival transportation through the hotel, multiple emails went unanswered despite repeated assurances from the reservation staff someone would get back to us. The good: the grounds are lovely. The food was quite good. Some members of the staff were phenomenal (specifically Paula and her boat activities were the highlight of the weekend.) The less good: this is on me for not really paying close enough attention when booking. A lot of the lake activities had extra charges. While incredibly fun, $175 for 20 min of water skiing seems high. Overall, the service was ok but not what I’d expect given the overall cost of the stay. I’ll also add. It’s a pet peeve of mine when smaller resorts host events (a wedding in this case) and then struggle to provide services to the rest of the guests. Sitting at dinner and waiting for 45 minutes for salads, while watching multiple courses leave the kitchen for the wedding, left a bad taste in my mouth
