Excellent relaxing holiday.

We have recently returned from this beautiful island having spent a lovely 10 days there. We stayed in a beach villa, tucked away in the 'jungle ' with our own little access path and the beach was literally on our doorstep with our own sun loungers. We were diligently looked after by Shaik who came x2 each day to service our room. He was absolutely charming and made sure that we were comfortable, had everything that we needed, and also decorated the room beautifully for my husband's birthday celebration. In fact all the staff there were very kind and helpful, always with smiling faces. We were most impressed with the choices and variety of the meals served in the Cowrie restaurant All the waiters are amazing. Hasanka took great care of us. The head chef Aakash, who ran the kitchen, was usually on hand at meal times to ensure that all the guests different tastes were catered for. Quite an undertaking , achieved with great success, he and his team should be congratulated. The turtle conservation project is most interesting and well worth a visit Forget your shoes, wind down and chill, if you are looking for a peaceful holiday, in lovely surroundings, this is the place for you.

This was the perfect relaxing getaway in a little piece of paradise. The staff were superb, all were extremely friendly, helpful and happy to chat. Our room attendant Arif was fantastic, he was so helpful throughout. The food was so tasty and cooked perfectly. The spa was relaxing and just right atmosphere. Looking forward to a return visit in the future.

A very beautiful island with lush vegetation

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

As on other Maldivian islands, the staff were consistently very friendly and especially good with children. The renovated villas are beautifully designed, look great, and are in excellent condition. The rooms were always spotless, adding to the overall comfort of our stay. The dining options were somewhat more limited than at some larger resorts, but the taste and quality of the food were excellent. We were lucky to get All-Inclusive at the price of Half-Board - an unbeatable deal. However, despite the great price, it is a bit surprising that champagne is not included in the All-Inclusive package. The absolute highlight of Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu is its lush, tropical vegetation. Most villas are barely visible from the beach thanks to the “jungle,” which offers a lot of privacy. The island is very quiet, making it easy to relax and unwind, and there are plenty of shaded spots throughout the resort. The only minor downside - over which the hotel has probably no control - is the presence of caterpillars that can cause skin irritation. If you experience itching after swimming in the pool, it’s best to avoid the pool and inform management.

Perfect paradise experience - with turquoise seas, white sand, and a luxury resort

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

We visited the most wonderful resort in the Maldives, Cocoa Palm Dhoni Kolhu, in February 2009 with our young family, then aged 9 and 7. Then 16 years later, we met up again at the same resort using the travel agent, Angelfish Travel again who had made the inital recommendation. It was an opportunity to celebrate our 30th Wedding anniversary whilst simultaneously meeting up with our children, now a bit older and working in Australia. We love Cocoa Palm - it is the perfect mixture of being classy and luxurious but not pretentious. After an amazing 30 minute flight in by seaplane from Male, we stayed in thatched roof private villas with our own private plunge pool, loungers and access to our own piece of beach! We chose to stay for some days in the lagoon villas over the water as well where you can just swim directly from the steps off your own seafacing balcony. We particularly like how in this resort, the rooms are all quite private and you have you're own little part of paradise!! You can walk around the whole island in about 40 minutes but there is plenty of snorkelling as there is a drop-off at the edge of a reef. The staff are all the most friendly and welcoming - one remembered us! All of the food is just fantastic. My son loved the Maldivian tuna breakfasts with rotis, whilst the pancake man who makes you a palm tree, turtle or manta ray pancake in front of your eyes is impressive. We like snorkelling on the house reef and in the lagoon - so you can see turtles off the beach or indeed, visit them in the new turtle rescue centre. We joined in the Maldivian local music and dancing on Saturday night - and enjoyed a number of excursions including snorkelling with turtles, sharks and manta rays. The kids enjoyed a night snorkel excursion with the phosphorescence. We all enjoyed a massage at the beautiful spa whilst my daughter was energetic and used the gym each day. It was our favourite place to visit, once again!

Thank you to everyone who made our visit to Coco Palm truly memorable. The staff was absolutely amazing, really friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, beautifully presented and the choice was fantastic. The ladies at the spa were so friendly, and all of them remembered my name each time I went to visit, which made everything so special. I am sure that we will be visiting Coco Palm again in the near future.

We had a fantastic time at Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu and surely want to say thank you again. The whole team on the island does a great job. Everything on the island is run very smoothly and the guest really gets the feeling of a home away from home. Thank you very much for those wonderful 5 days and a very special thank you for the private dinner on our last day – this was unbelievable!

Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu was every essence of the word 'paradise' and I had a fantastic time. We were made to feel as though everything was very special indeed and nothing at all was too much trouble. I must complement the chefs because they excelled themselves and I just loved the range and choice of food. Thank you!
