AYANA Resort and Spa

My wife and I stayed at the AYANA Resort Bali for 6 nights. The location is quite isolated which means a lot of time spent at the resort. It is. ahuge property so there are a lot of places to visit within the reosrt. Overall it is a fairly relaxing environment due to the size. There are plenty of pools, bars and restaurants so you can always find a spot to enjoy. Checkin was fairly quick although there was no one at the lobby waiting to help with bags and our taxi driver had to go looking for someone to meet us. Once we were checked in we were taken to our room which was spacious, clean and comfortable although it took a long time for the air conditioning to cool down the room. Food is the biggest issue and the reason why I rate this place 2/5 instead of 4/5. Unfortunately due to how isolated you are at this resort you are stuck eating and drinking here. Prices are fairly expensive for everything including water. The food quality is not great either. Service can vary too. On our first night we ate at Damar and drinks were so incredibly slow. We ordered some water and a beer - both which arrived by the time we were almost finsihed with our meal. We visited the Rock Bar and as soon as we sat down we had the menu thrown at us and the waiter wanted us to order immediately. At the very least giving us a minute to read the menu should be the norm. Unfortunately my wife and I experienced food poisoning on separate occasions at this resort. She ate something at breakfast and within an hour was very unwell. On our last evening we ate at DAVA and I spent my entire night throwing up. I could understand if we had eaten outside of the resort but on both occasions we had eaten exclusively at the resort. Ultimately it is a beautiful resort with plenty of facilities, activities and space but the food safety means I would skip it completely.

Shout out to Ayana Resort Bali and the wedding team!! We had our wedding at Ayana Sky and we had the best and unforgettable moments there. Many thanks to Tiffany, David and the wedding team to help coordinate everything! And many thanks to the hotel staff to make our and our guests’ stay fantastic there! Food was great, the hotel is really fun! Highly recommend!!

Everything about this beautiful resort is worth raving about, starting with the incredible staff who go out of their way to make you feel welcome and supported (thank you Ibu Eka and Pak Wira). The Rock Bar for sunset drinks is pretty special.

What a beautiful garden and Hendra was amazing. We loved the Japanese inspired gardens and feeding the quay fish. We also got to enjoy some tamarin.

Enjoy our stay in the Ayana. People here are really nice. Especially Mr. Ajus, he is professional and friendly. I will remember one day when I get bitten by a mosquito, he and his colleague bring me oil to relieve my itching. Many thanks. Highly recommend staying in the Ayana lobby which is convenient to go everywhere in the resort. Food in Restaurants is good and tasty. The traditional show in one of the restaurants is worth going to. Grilled fish and oyster is fresh in one of the grilled restaurants. Not recommended to go to the rock bar and H2O swimming pool. Both of them are small and crowded.
