Interview with Hotel Tugu Bali Founder Anhar Setjadibrata
A) The purity and the richness of history, the intrigue and romance that are scattered beautifully in every corner of our hotel. We provide romance, adventure and quirky charm by the barrel, an opportunity to experience Bali, as it was intended to be.
Q) What makes Hotel Tugu Bali a unique experience for guests?
A) Located on a quiet surf and sunset beach, priceless antiques and art from all over Bali and Java are lovingly placed within the soaring main pavilion, in the intimate dining rooms, in the 21 suites and surrounding Hotel Tugu Bali's sacred lotus ponds and bridges.
Q) Can you explain what makes the location of your property interesting to travelers?
A) Private tours to Bali’s royal palaces can be arranged as well as trips to explore little visited museum gems such as the Subak Museum, focusing on Balinese traditional life, and the Manusa Yadnya, full of local ritual adornments.

For several decades we have been going to Bali. In all that time we have never experienced such a wonderful domain like this magical place. Yes, of course the dining, the artwork, the amenities, the accommodations, the kind and constant attention. But more, much more, is the overwhelming sense that this is a most spiritually blessed & balanced place, a place of tranquility and peace.

Anonymous· 4 years agoI feel privileged and blessed to have had the opportunity to experience Hotel Tugu Bail. It surpassed my dreams, my hopes and my idea of the perfect vacation. Beyond perfect! I don't think I'll ever encounter anything as exquisitely beautiful as the Hotel Tugu Bali experience. The staff is the best of the best!

Bali, IndonesiaEmbraced by Canggu Beach, whispering rice fields, a quaint fishing village and the Batu Balong Temple, Hotel Tugu Bali is a sanctuary unlike any you may have encountered before. This exclusive retreat on the southwest shore of Bali was built on one man's passion for the romantic art, history and the cultures of Bali and Java. It is the island's first boutique museum hotel, and its handsome touches include nearly 1,000 exquisite antiques. You are sure to be enchanted as you dine in an 18th-century Kang Xi-period temple, or sleep in a traditional Balinese-style pavilion that drifts above its own lotus pond.
Sensuous pleasures await at the break of each day, which may begin with a leisurely stroll through the morning fish market. Or indulge in treatments at the resort's spa, which creates its own elixirs based on ancient Indonesian traditions, and offers hot stone therapies using spice-soaked volcanic stones. You may also discover the grace of Balinese dancing, the exotic richness of Indonesian cooking from the resort's own chef, or the delicate art of preparing offerings and palm leaf arrangements. For exploring the area, tour the surrounding rice paddy fields in an antique horse-drawn bendi cart.
