The Petanu River carves out a lush valley that cradles Kamandalu Ubud, a collection of villas that immerses guests in the Balinese way of life. “Kamandulu,” adopted from Sanskrit, means “the vessel that holds the holy water,” a moniker that encourages finding inner peace. Healing Vacation
A beautiful place for a vacation around Ubud. The atmosphere is really nice, calm, and surrounded by fresh air. The property is quite spacious and offers plenty of interesting activities, from the Forest Breakfast and Koi Boat Afternoon Tea to the Forest Swing Bed and colorful Movie Night in the evening. I really enjoyed the room as well. The traditional Balinese design gives it a warm and authentic feel, while the wooden touches and colorful details make the space look elegant and inviting. The overall ambiance is very relaxing and perfect if you're looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. There's also a large swimming pool, and I found myself spending quite a bit of time simply walking around and exploring the property. Overall, it's a lovely spot to unwind, recharge, and enjoy the peaceful side of Ubud.

There’s a reason we came back to Kamandalu Ubud for a second stay, and it certainly won’t be our last. We spent 5 wonderful nights here and once again had an incredible experience. What makes Kamandalu so special is the people. Every single staff member we encountered was warm, friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about making our stay memorable. It’s rare to find a place that makes you feel so welcome, but Kamandalu truly feels like a home away from home. The resort itself is breathtaking. Surrounded by beautiful jungle views and lush tropical gardens, it feels like a peaceful sanctuary. Everything is impeccably maintained, and the attention to detail throughout the property is outstanding. One of the things we love most is the location. You’re right in the heart of Ubud and close to everything, yet once you’re inside the resort it feels like a world away—quiet, serene, and incredibly relaxing. We also treated ourselves to two massages at Chaya Spa, and both were absolutely amazing. The spa therapists were fantastic, and it was one of the highlights of our stay. Thank you to the entire Kamandalu team for another unforgettable visit. We left feeling refreshed, relaxed, and already talking about when we can return. We couldn’t recommend Kamandalu highly enough to anyone visiting Ubud.
