Mezzatorre Resort & Spa

This was our second time visiting Mezzatorre and our 6th visit to the Pellicano stable of hotels. We clearly returned because we loved it a year ago but I think our second visit outshone even our first trip of a year ago. We stayed in a beautiful junior suite (room 315) which had breathtaking views of the Bay of San Montano. The rooms at Mezzatorre are not enormous but they are perfectly formed. Everything we needed was provided, including a fabulous steamer to address my crinkly wardrobe. The thing that made our trip so special this time was the welcome we received as returning guests. So many of the team were still there and remembered us (or were kind enough to pretend that they did!) from last year. As a result, we had unbelievably good service, delivered with a perfectly pitched familiarity. The drinks and food at Mezzatorre, as we stated in last year's review, are simply fantastic. Massimo and Ambrogio run a fabulous bar. Despite some super busy evenings, drinks are perfect every time and delivered within minutes of sitting down. I had a perfectly made Cosmopolitan (not too pink) and even had a cocktail made especially for me - after much conferring with Massimo. Restaurant La Torre is similarly knockout and we love Salvatore, who surely has to be one of the most enthusiastic F&B managers out there. His love of Italian food and wine is truly infectious and we ate in the hotel all but one evening, just because he is so much fun. Working alongside Salvatore, we'd also like to recognise Nello (surely one of the nicest, kindest and most efficient waiters), who brought me beautiful fruit every morning, Martina, Victoria, Antonio, David and Alina (with apologies for the inevitable spelling mistakes :-( ) All of the staff members we came across (too many to name) were excellent and we'd like to thank the team for making our stay so special. We had a few things to quietly celebrate and this was the most perfect venue. Mezzatorre is on our 'return' list and we are already plotting the next visit. Grazie mille!

Mezzatorre Hotel & Spa is a beautiful and relaxing retreat. The thermal pools and mud treatments are truly special—an absolute must during your stay. The views are breathtaking, and the setting feels private and serene. Service was warm and attentive, which made the entire experience seamless. A perfect balance of luxury, wellness, and natural beauty.

Beautiful, expansive property with stunning views over a private cove, historic and beautifully decorated buildings (custom ceramics and fabrics), quietly luxurious rooms, and 5+ star service. (when I made a request at dinner, our waiter said, Signora, this is Mezzatorre, you can have anything you want, and that was the spirit of our stay). The perfect way to enjoy this beautiful island. Our recent stay at the Mezzatorre Hotel on Ischia was perfection! The setting of the hotel is just beautiful, with amazing sea views at every turn. But what really sets the Mezzatorre apart is the warmth, competence and friendliness of the staff. Everyone we encountered went out of their way to offer an elevated experience! The food was excellent also. The hotel is set against a hill so the are steps everywhere, but they do offer to pick you up in a golf cart when needed. The resort is secluded, but they offer an on demand shuttle to the nearest town, a half mile away.

Just finished the most amazing stay at the Mezzatorre!! The staff is next level, they went above and beyond for us at every turn. The property is gorgeous and you don’t have to leave the hotel if you feel like completely relaxing. I recommend booking a room in the “main tower” of the hotel because it’s centrally located to the bar and restaurant and doesn’t require hiking. Our room was in the tower and we had stunning views. Some of the rooms require a hike up the hill into the woods so beware of that if you aren’t in hiking shape. They do offer golf cart rides if you call down for one so that helps. Massimo and Pepe at the bar were incredible!! The lunch restaurant down by the pool has the best pasta I have ever had in my life. Ischia is a very cute island and we enjoyed venturing out a few nights into town for dinner but you could just as easily eat at the hotel every night. We traveled with our 14 month old baby and the entire hotel treated him like royalty and were so welcoming! Nobody made us feel like our baby was a hassle, they had the beautiful baby crib set up when we arrived and tons of baby chairs at the restaurant. The concierge and front desk staff also deserve a special mention for how helpful they were. We will be back to the Mezzatorre!!
