Some of the staff seemed disengaged, as if providing service was an inconvenience. A few were even rude and disrespectful. Housekeeping never came to tidy our room; we had to go to the front desk to request it. Overall, the level of service did not meet the standards I would expect from a 4- or 5-star resort.

I recently stayed at Cheeca Lodge for a getaway, and I couldn’t have been happier with my experience. As someone who used to live in Islamorada, I’ve always appreciated the natural beauty and laid back charm of the area, and Cheeca truly captures that atmosphere perfectly. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous, especially the lagoons throughout the property. They add so much character and beauty, and make the entire resort feel like a true island oasis. One of my favorite parts of the stay was the ocean relaxation area. It is incredibly peaceful, with stunning water views and plenty of space to unwind without feeling crowded. In the evenings, the tiki torches added a warm, tropical ambiance that made the experience feel even more special and authentic to the Keys. My room was clean, comfortable, and easy to settle into, offering a great balance of style and comfort that made the stay truly restful. I also want to highlight the staff. Everyone I interacted with was not only professional and helpful but also genuinely friendly and warm. Their welcoming attitude made me feel right at home and added to the overall enjoyment of my stay. Cheeca Lodge is one of those places that reminds you to slow down and enjoy the beauty around you. Having been a resident of Islamorada in the past, I can confidently say this resort represents the area at its best. I highly recommend it and look forward to returning in the future.

Cheeca is amazing resort in the middle of the Middle Keys. They pay absolute attention to every detail with your enjoyment and comfort is their highest priority. As soon as you enter the property all employees and attendants are friendly and well prepared to answer questions and guide you. Amenities are plentiful, grounds and rooms are immaculate, restaurants and bars are great for resort style dining and cocktails. It is extremely family friendly with options for couples and some moderate seclusion. If you’re looking for resort accommodations in or around Islamorada this is it!

Cheeca Lodge is such a special place. This was our first time back with our youngest two and they had so much fun in the pool. The staff is fantastic and treat you like family. The grounds are well kept. The staff is exceptional. Look forward to returning in the future.

We paid for a king resort view and we got a second floor rooftop/ ac unit view. The doors to the bath did not close, the curtains were partly torn down. They did move us the second night after we talked to the manager a night but that. Should not have been required. We reserved this room a month in advance. It was a bad disappointment and we probably would select another resort on the next trip
