My wife and I just returned from Hotelito and can not rave enough about the beautiful location and wonderful staff. Mid-April is in the off season. The staff always took great care of us. Our platfito, El Corazon, was very spacious with a canopy bed, large marble tub, outdoor shower, white walls and dark wood floor. It was situated perfectly to catch the breeze and sun. Some of the other platfitos are hotter because they are in the interior of the property.

The food was delicious and local. The chef is from the neighboring town. You probably don't want to visit in August. Too hot then and the suites are not air conditioned. The weather was very nice with a strong breeze in the afternoon and a slight chill at night. We basically had to place to ourselves for the first couple of days. Don't let the 2.5 hour trip from Puerto Vallarta scare you away from the incredible property.

I recently returned from the Hotelito Desconocido near Puerta Vallarta, Mexico. What a wonderful experience! It was truly a great example of primitive luxury. I can't say enough about the helpfulness of the staff, the excellent food and the beautiful setting. I would go again in a heartbeat! -T. Teegardin
