I won an auction for the Sand & Surf Resort last year & had been waiting for MONTHS for my getaway. I had a wonderful experience during my stay. My Oceanfront room on the first floor opened out to a HEAVENLY view of the ocean and I can't explain how relaxing the sounds of the ocean were. I slept most of my time here, but was amazed by the friendly and gracious staff. I experienced the Aquaterra Spa (Beth was an amazingly attentive masseuse) and almost melted into the massage table. The only shortcoming I experienced was my almost $80 room service dinner. I ordered their "special" the Seafood risotto. It was INCREDIBLY oily & saturated in pesto or truffle oil. I barely took a bite. Other than that, everything was lovely.

We spent 5 luxurious nights at the Surf & Sand hotel in Laguna Beach, CA, the week of August 14th, 2004. Upon arrival at our oceanfront room, we received chocolate covered strawberries and champagne. A full breakfast in Splashes restaurant included anything we wanted on the menu each day. We had a wonderful dinner including a bottle of wine, and even the hotel taxes and parking each day was included. It was a really great vacation. -M. & A. Fluger
