Interview with The Royal Horseguards Director of Sales Steven McGovern
Q) What makes your property a unique experience for guests?
A) The historic and stately The Royal Horseguards Hotel, built in the 1880’s, once served as headquarters for the British secret service and it’s said that Winston Churchill and others used secret tunnels within the building. Hotel porters in top hats escort you inside, where you’ll find crystal chandeliers, a fireplace and tall ceilings with white moldings.
Q) What elements about your property are truly luxurious?
A) High ceilings, sumptuous furnishings, full air conditioning and double-glazed windows make every room at The Royal Horseguards a quiet, spacious and comfortable retreat. Your room has a fully equipped vanity set, an iPod docking station with Bose surround sound, and Egyptian cotton bed linen.
Q) Can you explain what makes your property appealing to travelers as a vacation destination?
A) Located on banks of the River Thames, with walking distance to Covent Garden, Westminster, Trafalgar Square and the London Eye across the River.
