The Surin Phuket

The Surin is an independent hotel that works hard to anticipate and satisfy guest demands. Good for quiet quality time with the family. Not a party hotel. The Surin has the best staff and beach of any hotel we have stayed in Phuket and is our preferred hotel there.

Fantastic resort. We chose a superior cottage #321 and it was perfect for us. An easy walk to breakfast, an easy golf cart ride to the main gate. (A little bonus is room 321 has a short cut via golf cart) Resort is close enough to walk to shops and restaurants and we did a few times to get the feel of local life but most of the time we spent at the resort enjoying and relaxing. The 2IC Andrew made us welcome and the whole staff were so courteous and polite. Even though we never got to swim in the ocean (The red flags we out for the whole time we were there) the pool was perfect and because it was wet season we had it to ourselves most of the time. Our five days at The Surin Phuket were nothing short of wonderful. From the moment we arrived and were shown to our room overlooking Pansea Beach and the Andaman Sea, the experience only kept getting better. The property itself is truly special. Designed in the understated, timeless style that made architect Ed Tuttle so celebrated, The Surin blends beautifully into the hillside, coconut groves, and shoreline rather than competing with it. Perched above the stunning Pansea Beach, which is shared only with neighbouring Amanpuri, the setting feels wonderfully secluded and private, with some of the most serene views in Phuket. (The Surin Phuket) What truly elevated the stay, however, was the warmth of the people. Every member of staff we encountered, from the breakfast restaurant team including Nana, Dada, Mild and Mai, to the buggy staff, beach team, games area staff and reception, made us feel genuinely cared for throughout our stay. The hospitality felt effortless, attentive and sincere. Breakfast each morning became one of the highlights of our day. The combination of an excellent buffet spread alongside a thoughtfully curated à la carte menu, all enjoyed with sweeping beach views, made for such a relaxed and memorable start to every morning. We spent our days alternating between chasing waves on the boogie boards, swimming in the warm sea, and simply unwinding on the sunbeds listening to the sound of the ocean. Even though two of the five days brought a little rain, the beauty and atmosphere of the property meant we still made the absolute most of our time there. A special mention also to the spa, where my wife had a wonderful massage experience and came away deeply appreciative of both the treatment and the service. Overall, The Surin Phuket delivered exactly what a great beach resort should: tranquillity, warmth, understated luxury and a setting that is difficult to leave behind. A truly memorable stay and somewhere we would happily return to.

Everything is excellent! I recommend all the activities in the hotel! It’s really interesting! Hope the hotel will create more interesting activities! Just one thing! The staff just care the private beach but no one cares the public surin beach, which we have been there and saw the rubbish all around. I feel really bad and I picked up one big rubbish bad. Hope the hotel may arrange some beach clean up activities to protect our environment, let staff and guests to engage in activities.

As long-time visitors, we are naturally somewhat biased – yet we also approach The Surin with a critical eye than one time visitors. The foundation is unparalleled: the beautiful, clean beach, the location of the well-maintained bungalows in the "botanical garden," which is currently receiving intensive care – and will only become more vibrant and beautiful in the future. The very friendly staff anticipate your every need and create a pleasant atmosphere. Besides the superb garden maintenance, we were particularly impressed this year by the quality of the air conditioning in our room. If you have difficulty walking, be sure to check in advance whether your bungalow is accessible. For us, climbing stairs has become a form of exercise that helps us stay in shape. And the buggy service is really helpful. The Surin marked the end of a long trip around the world for us, and this air conditioning, combined with the perfect bed and linens, ensured we had the best night's sleep. It's all these little things that make us sing the praises of The Surin. For example, the option to park a bike, which is handed to you with a smile every morning at 6 a.m. It's also these little things that ultimately make us sad to leave The Surin. We will be back! All in all: The groove is unreachable, the staff is super friendly, the management is steadily working on improvements. Thank you again for this great stay!
