According to Hawaiian mythology, coral is the goddess granddaughter of the world’s creator. From November to May, Koa Kea’s slice of the Pacific hosts a migration of humpback whales, so keep an eye to the horizon.

Such an awesome resort
Such an awesome resort. Highly recommend. Genuine commitment to customer service and getting things right the first time. Room was excellent, as well as all the other facilities. Excellent views from the room and grounds. Pool and hot tub were top notch, along with the beach bar. Will definitely return.

Honeymoon Ideal! Romantic and prime location for exploring
Location is perfect. Very cute boutique hotel. Wish there would have been an included breakfast, but here are cute places outside of the hotel. Valet was exceptional! And the free shuttle around poipu (operates outside of the hotel) is adorable and very convenient for getting around to dinners and shopping (if you don’t have a car).

Post hurricane stay
We had a very nice stay, especially since it was just after hurricane Lowell. It seemed everyone had pitched in to get up and running again and was glad to be open for business. Everyone did a great job of insuring we had a great stay even without the complete assortment of amenities being available.

The staff were so welcoming and friendly. The property is beautiful and rooms are clean. The lei welcome was so special and the service was top notch. If you are trying to decide between this property and another, choose this one.

The Koa Kea was top notch! We loved every minute. Beautiful landscaping, rooms nicely appointed and great quality sheets and towels and superb housekeeping. Red Salt restaurant was perfect and delicious. Breakfast, meals, and wait staff were wonderful, especially Raven - our waiter most days. Not one negative about this boutique hotel. Will return again.
