If you ever wanted to samba in style, look no further than the historic Copacabana Palace by Orient-Express in festive Rio de Janeiro. This 1923 treasure proves to be a striking presence along the sands of famous Copacabana Beach. A gathering spot for luminaries both past and present, the hotel's aristocratic design was inspired by a pair of luxury resorts found along the Côte d'Azur. While Rio has a reputation as a dressed-down destination the Copacabana Palace has a more formal edge, which is evident in both its public and private spaces.
