I want to start by explaining my review is based on expectations in regards to what this hotel charges per night. I have different expectations from a hotel that charges $500 per night from one that charge $2500 and up which Meadowood does. My wife and I come up to Napa three times a year and have been coming for 10+ years. We were devastated when the fires ravished this area and the meadowood property as this was our to go place. While this property was being re built we tried many other properties in the area , the four seasons , Auberge du Soleil , Stanley Ranch to name a few but non measured up to Meadowood. This is our third time here since they have re opened. The first two times were still a transitional time so I did not judge them but this time they have been opened for over two years so they should be back to their amazing pre fire times. Unfortunately they are still falling way short. Let’s start with the reception area, this is the first impression when you walk into any properties. Well here it’s non existent looks like you walked into a motel 6. Nothing special and the person checking you in has absolutely no personality or training on how to welcome guest. They ask if we are celebrating anything special which we were our 31st anniversary. Not sure why they asked as they never acknowledged or did anything for us during our stay. The forum restaurant their main place to eat is fair at best Nothing special their wine list is extensive but several of our choices were not available. How is that acceptable we are in Napa ! The chef came to say hi but to our surprise told us that she has no culinary training and is self taught. I have absolutely no issue with that and on the contrary was impressed by her but when you charge $30 and up for appetizers and $60 and up for entrees I would expect more. The rooms are nice but the amenities are average be prepared to hike up stairs as they are perched up. Love the exercise but just some feedback if you are older or have any physical restrictions. The spa is absolutely stunning and our massages were great. The concierge another high point Very responsive and easy to communicate with. In conclusion the property is nestled in an amazing area but details and service that make a 5* hotel which charges these prices falls way short !!! It is Disappointing and I truly hope they get back to what it used To be.

Meadowood Napa Valley exceeded every expectation. From the beautiful property and luxurious amenities to the incredible food and attentive staff, every detail was exceptional. We were fortunate to visit with our company for a relaxing 3-day weekend, and it could not have been a better experience. The location is stunning, the spa is an absolute must, and every meal was outstanding. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a true Napa Valley getaway!

We visited this resort with a group of friends and had an absolutely wonderful visit. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The room was spacious, well appointed and clean. Everything and more that I would expect from an upscale destination retreat.

A true gem in the heart of wine country! We went here for a relaxing couples trip to Napa and the luxurious, but relaxed feel of Meadowood made our vacation over the top. Close to everything we wanted to visit, but set back in a tranquil and serene setting. I only wish we had more time on property! We can't wait to come back.

Lovely experience and can't recommend enough. Top shelf all around. We visited while the spa was closed so we have a reason to return.
