Q) Can you explain what makes Santa Barbara appealing to travelers as a vacation destination?
A) The coastal community of Santa Barbra has always attracted vacationers from all over the world, with its favorable weather and seaside location. The re-opening of El Encanto certainly adds to the appeal of the destination. The resorts unique layout, coupled with a discerning level of service, world class spa and inspired cuisine make it a destination unto itself.

Q) What are the three things about your property that guests may not know?
A) 1- During the restoration of El Encanto, it was very important to maintain the original ambiance of the resort. All bungalows have kept their original features; 2- The original brick work surrounding the Lily Pond and Arbor was removed brick by brick and placed back in its original setting; 3- Guests will enjoy outdoor dining year round as they are surrounded in warmth with The Terrace floors and ceilings having a sophisticated heating system.

Q: Can you take me through what a guests stay would be like and what an average day might entail in terms of activities, etc.?
A) For our leisure guests, they will enjoy an unhurried experience. Awake in the morning to the sounds of chirping birds and enjoy the start to your day with breakfast on your outdoor terrace taking in the spectacular view of the shimmering Pacific. Following an invigorating work-out in the state-of-the-art fitness center, it is off to explore quaint Santa Barbara. After a few hours in this charming coastal town, it is back to the resort for your massage in the new Spa then a refreshing nap prior to a dinner, which is sure to be a culinary experience unto itself. Starting with drinks in the lounge and gorgeous sunset views, a multi-course dinner awaits, followed by cordials in front of a roaring outdoor fireplace. Finally, slip into a luxurious bed for a sound sleep and sweet dreams.

Q) Have you had any notable guests or celebrities visit that you can share?
A) El Encanto has welcomed celebrities, dignitaries and Presidents over the years and will certainly continue to do so with its re-opening. As we exercise discretion for all guests, we cannot name names, but it is the perfect escape for those who are looking for total privacy.

A) Everything at El Encanto will be a luxurious experience. The guestrooms have been restored to their original splendor complete with the most up to date technology; the Spa will offer guests the finest in treatments and facilities; and the culinary experience will be uniquely special, with a world renowned chef overseeing all dining aspects at the resort.

A: Many guests will have an ambitious schedule with activities planned in the Santa Barbara area. However, as in the past, the aura and charm of El Encanto is so captivating that guests often end up staying on property and partaking in activities we have created on-site. A: Guests enjoy spending weekends at the resort year round; however Sunday through Thursday is a wonderful time to visit both the property and community due to lesser crowds.
