A wonderful paradise on the outside of Lisbon

We had the most magical experience at Penhalonga Resort in Sintra this May, where we not only stayed with our wedding party, but also hosted our rehearsal dinner. The resort’s beauty was only matched by the incredible hospitality we received. Every step of the planning process was transparent, with clear pricing and seamless coordination with our planner. We barely had to lift a finger—their team worked tirelessly behind the scenes. The room block was offered at a great discount, making it easy for our loved ones to stay. The rehearsal dinner at the Mercado was spectacular—the food, prepared by their Michelin-starred restaurants, was phenomenal. And on the wedding day, the same level of excellence shone through. The staff were always nearby, ready to help with anything we needed. Beyond the service, the resort itself is rich with history and character, making it a truly one-of-a-kind venue. Guests loved the golf, the atmosphere, and the overall experience. We can’t imagine a better place to celebrate—we’ll cherish these memories forever. If you want a stunning location with impeccable service, Penhalonga is the one.

Usually I don’t like huge resorts, but this is so big that you don’t feel at anytime (maybe only at breakfast) that there is the presence of hundreds of other guests. The resort includes a 27 holes golf course and we loved it. The rooms are big, well kept and fully accessorized. The personal touch, in particular by Giovanni Carrobbo, but in general by all the staff is unique, you truly feel pampered and looked after. Keep it up!

This resort is beautiful…. HOWEVER THEY NEVER PICK UP THE PHONE TO BOOK OR FOR INFORMATION. It’s extremely frustrating when trying to get in touch and they simply hang up each call time after time. Ritz Carlton… do better!

We recently spent two nights at Penha Longa Resort with our 3-year-old, and it was truly an amazing experience for a family stay. The highlight for us was the kids' playground—both the indoor and outdoor areas are absolutely amazing and kept our little one fully engaged. Beyond the kid-friendly amenities, the resort offers an incredible sense of quietness and peace. It is the perfect place to truly relax and unwind. Our room was spacious, spotless, and very well-appointed, providing plenty of space for the three of us. We also looked forward to breakfast every morning; the combination of a high-quality buffet and delicious à la carte options was a great touch. What really sets this resort apart, however, is the staff. They were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay, assisting us with our luggage and seamlessly arranging a late checkout for us. We can’t recommend this place enough for families looking for a luxury getaway!
