St. George's Caye Resort is situated on some of the country’s most historic shores – the area was Belize’s original capital, the site of clashes between shipwrecked British sailors-turned-pirates and Spanish conquistadors. There are rumors of a sarcophagus still buried on resort property. Guests get a taste of island flavor in cabanas adorned in rich, native hardwoods and coconut fronds, a design that conceals them in the surrounding thickets of palms. Attentive staff are especially helpful in arranging personalized dive itineraries.

We stayed at the “above water” villa, beautiful view on the bay side and the water was calm. Getting to and from the airport to the resort was seamless. The folks there were fantastic, very helpful & courteous. Food was great, there was nothing we did not like to eat. I kayaked out in front of my villa and the white manatee swam right under my kayak, came up, say about 15-20 ft in front of me for air. I stopped paddling and just watched it, did not want to spook it. Pretty cool sight. We also did the Hol Chan snorkeling, swam with the nurse sharks, fed the tarpons and stopped by Caye Caulker for lunch. Good visit, one guide to two guest ratio. The owner, Christy happened to be there and she came out regularly to visit the guest and talk to us. Even took us on a boat ride to Goff Island. Next time we have to guess when the owners will be there. LOL. Definitely going back, only problem is that 4N5D is not enough.

Saint George Caye Resort n is top of the line. The staff was attentative, friendly and knowledgeable. We did the snorkle adventure. Saw a dolphin and much more wild life. Highly recommend it as well and the excursion to the ruins. We stayed in the overwater cabanas. They were clean, comfortable and beautiful wood throughout. Great experience all the way around. We will be back!

If you need all fancy with poolside drinks, celebrity chef caliber meals and high thread count sheets, this place is not for you. If you prefer low key Gilligan’s Island vibes with Five Star Service you will like it. Comfy cabanas. Amazing staff. No one is ever having a bad day here. Meals are family style with all guests at one long table and meals were set for lunch and dinner, but the food was good- they slay at roasted meats and barbecue, and can accommodate dietary requests. The resort is self-contained, but there are kayaks available anytime, easy swimming in the lagoon or ocean, plus afternoon and morning snorkeling excursions. We also did a Hobie Cat ride the last day. The only thing we would do differently is take a beach front cabana instead of the over water lagoon. Cooler breezes and the view is just as good.

We went to this resort for our honeymoon and couldn't be happier with that decision! The staff are so friendly and they really make you feel comfortable. Their attention to detail is impeccable, they remember names, your favorite drink, even what kind of music you prefer. I'm allergic to gluten, diary and nuts so I was a little worried about the meals, like usual. I was so impressed with the cooks and waitstaff, they always made me a separate plate with a dairy or gluten substitute and let me know they didn't forget! I was able to enjoy a four course dinner like everyone else and it was all delicious! I never got sick from the food for any of the 9 days we were there. Someone else had a shellfish allergy and they did the same for him. We truly felt taken care of here. The bbq on the beach on Saturdays was amazing, they even cooked some fish that one of the guests had caught earlier that day. I really can't say enough about the food, everything was seasoned to perfection and there was a lot of variety. When you have an early morning excursion with the resort, they pack it up for you and you eat it on the way. I really appreciated that because those excursions are such a great adventure! I would suggest booking the excursions through the resort, they take care of transportation, the tour, make sure you're fed and answer all your questions. The tour guides all have so much knowledge on history of the area, local animals, plants, and had us laughing also! We did almost all of the excursions and activities: Lamanai Ruins, which includes a river boat tour where we spotted a ton of animals, The Belize Zoo, Altun Ha ruins, Traveller's Rum Factory Tour (and tasting 😋), cave tubing & ziplining, fishing, sailing, kayaking, snorkeling, there is even a spa and my massage therapist was amazing. This was a quiet, amazing stay. We definitely stayed busy, but it's also a great place to just relax and do nothing, as it's adult-only. You can take a walk around the Caye, fish, take a kayak out, swim, or hang out in the bar and lounge. There is an area to play any of the board games they provided as well as a stocked bookshelf. Definitely bring bug spray. If you forget, they have some in the gift shop by the sunblock. I would absolutely recommend this resort to anyone wanting to do some very cool adventures, feel pampered and relax. We learned so much about Belize and had a great time doing it. The staff are some of the best people out there. They made our honeymoon unforgettable in the best way possible. I was sad to say "until next time" to all my new friends.

We spent a lovely nine days at the St. George's Caye Resort. I highly recommend starting your trip here on Saturday because the dinner plans that night is a great way to start your stay. For excursions we took advantage of every opportunity that presented itself, some of the things we wanted to do we thought we weren't going to be able to make happen, but the staff here go above and beyond to make your trip the ultimate success! Everything from Great Bartenders, Talented Massage Therapists, Private Dinners, Kayaking, River Boat Tour, Lamanai Ruins, Zip Line in the Rainforest, Cave Tubing, Tour's to other Caye's, Feeding Tarpon's, Petting Stingrays, Belize Zoo, Altun Ha Ruins, Rum Factory Tour, Snorkeling, Fishing, Sailing, Sand Bar, and so much Important History! We really made the most we could with the time we had. I don't want to give too much information away about the excursions we partook in, but definingly TALK TO THE OFFICE FOR YOUR EXCURSION booking when staying here. If there's something you want to do, they can make it happen! They have highly qualified professionals for transportation, tour guides, and everything you could need. A lot of guests took advantage of the great Scuba Diving; this wasn't specifically our objective but the other guests that partook in it captured some unreal photos during their excursions. A few others got a great fight on their fishing ventures and got the photo with the big fish they were hunting to capture. Also, if you catch anything you want to eat the kitchen has no problem preparing it for you! Even someone new to fishing like me was able to go out and bring some food back for dinner. Overall, we were treated incredibly well by the staff, and they were very accommodating. The stay at this resort will be quiet, comfortable, and relaxing. I highly recommend visiting for couples or friends! We will have to come back again!

It was fascinating to watch the sea life. Your hosts make every effort to make you feel at home. The diving was amazing - you know how amazing the reef is, but the service took the entire experience to the next level. I could go on-and-on about the time we spent at St. George's Caye Resort!

The resort staff went out of the way to ensure that we had a memorable experience. The accommodations were excellent! As for diving - every day all of our gear was on the boat, meticulously maintained and ready to go. Travelers wishing to experience a gloriously beautiful waterfront location with pampered diving, satisfying food, and good company, then St. Georges Caye Resort fills the bill.

What an awesome experience. The environment is stunning. The water is beautiful. It is truly a unique experience to stay on this remote island, with all luxuries included. The staff was fantastic. Everyday we received personalized attention. There were special meals and excursions. Fresh baked cookies were delivered to the cabana daily. The staff all knew our names and drink preferences. The best endorsement I can give is that we extended our stay.
