St. George's Caye Resort

We went to this resort for our honeymoon and couldn't be happier with that decision! The staff are so friendly and they really make you feel comfortable. Their attention to detail is impeccable, they remember names, your favorite drink, even what kind of music you prefer. I'm allergic to gluten, diary and nuts so I was a little worried about the meals, like usual. I was so impressed with the cooks and waitstaff, they always made me a separate plate with a dairy or gluten substitute and let me know they didn't forget! I was able to enjoy a four course dinner like everyone else and it was all delicious! I never got sick from the food for any of the 9 days we were there. Someone else had a shellfish allergy and they did the same for him. We truly felt taken care of here. The bbq on the beach on Saturdays was amazing, they even cooked some fish that one of the guests had caught earlier that day. I really can't say enough about the food, everything was seasoned to perfection and there was a lot of variety. When you have an early morning excursion with the resort, they pack it up for you and you eat it on the way. I really appreciated that because those excursions are such a great adventure! I would suggest booking the excursions through the resort, they take care of transportation, the tour, make sure you're fed and answer all your questions. The tour guides all have so much knowledge on history of the area, local animals, plants, and had us laughing also! We did almost all of the excursions and activities: Lamanai Ruins, which includes a river boat tour where we spotted a ton of animals, The Belize Zoo, Altun Ha ruins, Traveller's Rum Factory Tour (and tasting 😋), cave tubing & ziplining, fishing, sailing, kayaking, snorkeling, there is even a spa and my massage therapist was amazing. This was a quiet, amazing stay. We definitely stayed busy, but it's also a great place to just relax and do nothing, as it's adult-only. You can take a walk around the Caye, fish, take a kayak out, swim, or hang out in the bar and lounge. There is an area to play any of the board games they provided as well as a stocked bookshelf. Definitely bring bug spray. If you forget, they have some in the gift shop by the sunblock. I would absolutely recommend this resort to anyone wanting to do some very cool adventures, feel pampered and relax. We learned so much about Belize and had a great time doing it. The staff are some of the best people out there. They made our honeymoon unforgettable in the best way possible. I was sad to say "until next time" to all my new friends.

We spent a lovely nine days at the St. George's Caye Resort. I highly recommend starting your trip here on Saturday because the dinner plans that night is a great way to start your stay. For excursions we took advantage of every opportunity that presented itself, some of the things we wanted to do we thought we weren't going to be able to make happen, but the staff here go above and beyond to make your trip the ultimate success! Everything from Great Bartenders, Talented Massage Therapists, Private Dinners, Kayaking, River Boat Tour, Lamanai Ruins, Zip Line in the Rainforest, Cave Tubing, Tour's to other Caye's, Feeding Tarpon's, Petting Stingrays, Belize Zoo, Altun Ha Ruins, Rum Factory Tour, Snorkeling, Fishing, Sailing, Sand Bar, and so much Important History! We really made the most we could with the time we had. I don't want to give too much information away about the excursions we partook in, but definingly TALK TO THE OFFICE FOR YOUR EXCURSION booking when staying here. If there's something you want to do, they can make it happen! They have highly qualified professionals for transportation, tour guides, and everything you could need. A lot of guests took advantage of the great Scuba Diving; this wasn't specifically our objective but the other guests that partook in it captured some unreal photos during their excursions. A few others got a great fight on their fishing ventures and got the photo with the big fish they were hunting to capture. Also, if you catch anything you want to eat the kitchen has no problem preparing it for you! Even someone new to fishing like me was able to go out and bring some food back for dinner. Overall, we were treated incredibly well by the staff, and they were very accommodating. The stay at this resort will be quiet, comfortable, and relaxing. I highly recommend visiting for couples or friends! We will have to come back again!

We just came home from there and miss it already. Our experience was amazing. The resort is paradise. When we were there the island had 10-12 couples and then the staff. You saw people if you wanted to otherwise it felt like we were on our own island. The staff is amazing. They made sure we had anything and everything we needed. They make you feel like king and queen. Everyone was super nice. We loved Milkie and Elmer at the restaurant and Andy and Eddie at the dive shop were all amazing. Couldn't ask for nicer people. The food was amazing and you don't go hungry so bring your appetites. They have activities for you to do if you chose or just chill at the resort at the pool or on one of the docks and see all the colorful fish. We enjoyed our week there and can't wait to go back. You will never regret picking this resort for your next getaway. Shouout to Elmer and Milkie we love you guys ❤️ The restaurant staff was amazing. Everyone makes you feel like you on top of the world. We give this resort the highest rating we can give times 100. Thanks for making our vacation one to remember forever. My husband and I spent 5 night at St. George’s Caye Resort and had a wonderful time! We were immediately greeted by Cornell and he drove us to the marina. We then made it to the resort which served excellent food and drinks! Portions were large, we didn’t go hungry. Elmer made creative daily drinks. We went zip lining and cave tubing which was a blast! We also enjoyed a lot of relaxing and swimming. Highly recommend

Horrible experience! What St. George is presenting should be considered fraud. They present the very best photos they could get to advertise but it is NOT the same. We were charged $800 PER NIGHT for a small twin bed cabana. The quality of the facility rates at $50 per night if that. The property is seriously deteriorating and the staff are doing everything they can to try to cover for the property’s inadequacies. The welcome area was covered in biting flies and the employee kept us standing in the biting flies while he tried to explain the property. We asked to go inside to hear the rest of the welcome message. The bar area was not air conditioned (it needed to be). The office was air conditioned, but not guest area, interesting decision. The rotting sargassum was unbearable, we explored other cabins but it was just horrible on both sides of the property. We had to leave after the first night. I tried to work through it nicely, kindly asked for a refund for the 3 nights we did not stay, but they wouldn’t discuss or issue refund. I disputed on credit card but since I signed the “no refunds”, they won the dispute. So I am having to pay $2,700 for a very bad experience. Please see all my other google reviews, I don’t leave bad reviews. This one is deserving. I’m trying to save the next person a ruined vacation. There are many other places that are nicer in Belize, don’t choose this one. There are no crystal clear waters at this location, all murky and sargassum is under cabins and on both sides of caye. In our discussions with other guests the night we stayed, we discovered they too were disappointed but were grinning and bearing the situation.
