Topnotch Resort

The experience was good, but the gap between price and what's on offer is very wide. We paid a nightly rate of 800 USD for 2/16/2026, 600 USD for 2/17 and 2/18 and 700 USD for 2/19. These super high prices cannot be justified by nice service and pleasant common areas. The room was absolutely (at best) a room from a 3 star hotel or from an excellent 2 star hotel. Being clean was its best quality. All else absolutely did not exude the feel that the hotel is trying to convey. It was dark and unwelcoming. The restaurant spaces were very nice, but the food was not. The breakfast features quality from a 2 start hotel at prices for 4 star hotel. (for example the quality and taste of the "home potatoes" were dismal). Also, it was disappointing to pay 6 USD for a coffee from the same pot that other guests were getting for free in to-go cups right next to our table. The food at the main restaurant (Roost) was better, but not always at a good level. The pork tenderloin seemed like it was prepared a while ago and just re-heated, and the taste showed it. The salmon was better but a bit chewy for the price. The quinoa salad was quite tasteless. All the above are not major complaints, but just show that the hotel does not meet the standards of a 4 star hotel, and the prices are extremely inflated.

This was our 5-6th time staying at Top Notch and it consistently exceeds our expectations. We typically come with our little family (two adults and two kids), and we absolutely love it. The staff always makes us feel welcome and well taken care of. Everyone is friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. Our room was great(especially the bathroom) and it had plenty of space for all of us to relax after a day of skiing. The overall atmosphere of the resort was warm and inviting as well. Top Notch is always a wonderful experience for our family and we will continue to come back here. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Stowe, families or couples!

Lucked into availability here during the big holiday rush. Kid and I had a wonderful time. The pool is awesome, the hot tub is exactly as fun as advertised, and the restaurant is shockingly good. Major shout out to Annabelle (who did not ask us to write a review for her) who was so awesome with my kid and chatted with us each night at the restaurant, so much that my kid wanted to return each and every night. The hotel has ample parking and is close enough to the ski runs or the town for a very convenient vacation. Worth every penny. Thank you for a wonderful trip.

Are you looking for a great winter (summer is beautiful too) idyllic getaway! Topnotch Resort is the place to go. You are minutes away from Mt. Mansfield. The resort offers an indoor and outdoor pool, spa, & game room (for the kids), plus 2 great restaurants Roost & Flannel. They even offer a horse drawn sleigh ride. If you have a large family the resort homes offer an option. Shout out to the front desk team Trey & Charlotte. Along with the team at the restaurants Pedro, Will & Christian.

A great hotel. Everything was in beautiful shape and the staff was all very polite. Had dinner at the bar and it was good food and great spot for solo travelers and families alike. Would love to come back!
