Gaze over the stunning rock formations of Soganli Valley then take a tour of the marvelous underground cities of Kaymakli, Tatlarin, and Deinkuyu, built to protect the original settlers from the might of Rome. Wander through the Goreme Open Air Museum where more than 30 churches and chapels, beginning in the 10th century and adorned with ancient frescoes, were carved from the rock. In the afternoon mountain bike or ride horseback through the valleys, then take in the view from high above on a magical sunset hot air balloon ride. After a day spent exploring the ancient lands of Anatolia, return to Sacred House for a delightful medieval dinner featuring Mediterranean and Armenian cuisine before retiring to the deep comforts of your room.
