The Inn at Sundance Resort

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

My wife and I recently stayed two nights at the new Sundance Inn, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. Every member of the staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. After checking in, we were given a quick tour of the facility. Our room was very clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed, with the added touch of a mountain stream right next to our patio. We had dinner at both the Tree Room and Foundry Grill, and both were excellent. If you’ve never had the Tree Room Pepper Steak, try it, it’s one of the best steaks I’ve ever had! One of our favorite spots was the “Living Room” at the Inn. The views were truly jaw-dropping, and the complimentary offerings were a great touch, especially the creamy hot chocolate with marshmallows browned right at our table. We also loved the nostalgic photos and memorabilia of Robert Redford and early Sundance throughout the Inn. Waking up next to the beautiful mountains and ski hill was something special. This was our first stay at the Inn, and it definitely exceeded our expectations. We couldn’t have asked for a better weekend. Sundance is a special place. Highly recommend!

Wonderful Stay at the Inn at Sundance Resort

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

We loved our stay at The Inn at Sundance last month. The facility had just opened, and we were very impressed with the lodging and the staff. Our room was extremely comfortable and well-designed. The decor was beautiful and fit the cozy surroundings. The room was quite spacious with a balcony, a wide window seat that could serve as a child's bed, and a small table. The bed was very comfy, and the bathroom and fixtures are elegant. There was space near the entry door to hang ski clothes and place boots under a bench. One of my favorite things about the room was the luggage storage under the bed and window seat! The fitness center isn't particularly large, but it's excellent. Yoga and other classes are offered. The boot/ski room is downstairs on the slope side of The Inn and made it extremely convenient to boot up and step outside, walk up a few steps, and step right onto the snow with the lift only steps away. Perhaps the highlight of the Inn is the Living Room, where breakfast and then, throughout the day coffee, hot chocolate, and snacks are served. The space is full of tables and has a fireplace and couches that all look out onto the lift, ski slopes, and the majestic Mt. Timpanogos. The restaurants in the base area adjacent to The Inn are excellent. We had a very elegant meal in the Tree Room one evening and a delicious dinner in the Foundry Grill the next night. The little village includes a number of great amenities, including an outdoor spa area called, I think, the Springs that has several hot tubs and a wood sauna. There is also a lot of investment going into the mountain experience (skiing and snowboarding) with some new lifts and enhanced amenities already in place and more, it seems, going in over the next few years. The natural setting is honestly one of the most beautiful spots in Utah. We have hiked Mt. Timpanogos in the summer and enjoyed seeing the lakes, waterfalls and, yes, mountain goats in what is truly an Alpine setting. Everything at the resort reflects the design aesthetic implemented by Robert Redford and the Sundance Institute, which really gives the entire resort a great feel. And the staff was amazing, super-friendly, and very eager to please. I can't recommend the enhanced Sundance Resort and The (new) Inn highly enough.

Understated luxury

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

We didn’t know what to expect before we arrived knowing the resort is steep in history and the hotel part was newly built. We were happy with what we found. It was well thought out and purpose built so it had the conveniences of a good layout, yet it felt like it may have been there forever. Designs and furnishings were luxurious and in a most understated way. And the complimentary breakfast in a sun filled room facing the slopes was wonderful The staff looked like they were happy to be there and were eager to be helpful and to share the history of Sundance. We also love the glass blower workshops. It was so fun to watch. We have been blessed with 5* travels in different parts of the world and we will happily recommend that he resort for couples or for families.

The Inn - a timeless new addition. Loved it!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

The new inn is a beautiful blend of rustic charm, Sundance’s artistic heritage, and proper ski‑in/ski‑out convenience. There’s a feeling you get at Sundance - it’s luxurious but entirely comfortable and authentic, and the inn is an impressive addition to it all - fitting in like it has been there for years. The overall stay, the food, and service were all top notch. And there’s plenty to do of course. Highly recommended.

This was an amazing experience!! Wonderful service always friendly and helpful, beautiful rooms and incredible art everywhere. My favorite were the storied behind all of the local artists pieces!! I would recommend for all. There are physical activities, spa and hot tubs with cold plunges if desired but also creative art classes. I took photography and ceramics and also enjoyed an Owl night hike. Loved every minute !!
