Steeped in history, and bearing the iconic name of the most iconic pair in French theatre, La Maison Favart pays homage to her namesake with dramatic, 18th Century décor, and style that is uniquely Parisian. Lovely small hotel in the Opera area. Our deluxe room was very quiet and comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious. One note about the rooms with tubs...if you have any mobility or balance issues, you should consider booking a room with a walk-in shower as the tub has a very high side that you need to step over, and the tub is a bit slippery (I overheard several people at breakfast commenting that they wished they booked a shower room). Our room was very quiet and we had a view of the Opera Comique, just beautiful! We liked the location of the hotel, very close to a metro and bus stop, walking distance to museums and shopping, lots of Asian restaurants nearby, delicious Mexican restaurant a few doors down. Breakfast in the lobby area had a nice small selection of cold items (no hot items). We would like to personally recognize our concierge, Freddy, for securing a hard to get booking for us. Overall a wonderful 6 night stay in Paris!

Clean and very well positioned hotel, in the opera district. So easy for Metro, local restaurants and bars.

From the minute we booked our six-day stay at 39-room boutique hotel Maison Favart (recommended by a licensed Paris guide), staff performed at high standards. Would you prefer a room with a better view of the Opera Comique? May we arrange a driver to meet you at Charles De Gaulle? Should we make any dinner reservations? Excellent service continued to climb to wonderful heights. Our driver ushered us into the competent hands of Freddy and Macicilia, who kept our luggage while we enjoyed our first of many Parisian feasts. Upon return ta the hotel at check-in time, Macicilla offered us a beverage at a table in the cozy drawing room and reviewed policies and procedures while Freddy took our luggage to the room. The second floor room with that view of a traditional Paris square did not disappoint! Along with the attractive 2nd floor room came "simple" things that make a stay work: a modern a room partically glowing with cleanliness, a shower replete with hot water and strong pressure, coffee pods and brewer, refrigerator amenities, plenty of storage for clothing, blackout curtains that really work. Then steps and one floor away, a 24-7 concierge is ready to help with reservations, directions...everything. A full breakfast was available in the lobby/breakfast/drawing room, but we were too busy visiting boulangeries, patisseries, cafes and markets, including the Sunday Marche biologique Raspail (organic market) to give it a try. We also missed out on the on-site wellness area and spa, "located beneath the hotel's historic stone vaults," which is complimentary for hotel quests. The lobby/breakfast/drawing room offered afternoon sweets, an honor-system bar, including quality champagne, and complimentary coffee, soft drinks, and still and sparkling water. Staff showed interest in our itenerary, with Freddy suggesting we visit Luxembourg Gardens, a riot of boat-sailing children and flowers and tennis players and zipline aficionados. Other staff pitched in to make suggestions, serve coffee when we came to the lobby, and occasionally help with restaurant selections. This hotel will provide stamps and mail your postcards for the cost of the stamps, which was added to the room charge. As a finale, staff ordered us an early morning taxi when our next destination, Mont St. Michel, called. For its primo location--nestled close to the Metro, near the Palais Garnier, and off but near the heartbeat that is the moving feast of Paris, a travelor is wise to stay at La Maison Favart. Then you meet the wonderful, professional, friendly, courteous, staff, and know that you are at a home away from home, something priceless, precious..and that you will return again..
