The Oberoi Vanyavilas, Ranthambhore

Even if you have seen photos online, nothing can prepare you for the jaw-dropping experience of actually staying in the self-contained and uber-luxurious tented rooms and suites at the Oberoi Vanyavilas Wildlife Resort in Ranthambore, India. In terms of comfort, spaciousness, style and amenities, these "tents" rival or surpass the most incredible hotel suites I've ever stayed in. Equally amazing are the acres and acres of immaculately landscaped Resort grounds and water features that make it seem like you're living in the middle of a tropical paradise. Incredibly, on our first evening, we went for a walking tour of the grounds with one of the Resort's resident Naturalists and were privileged to spend half an hour watching a tiger sunning himself -- perhaps 200 meters away -- beyond a fence that separates the Resort from the adjacent Ranthambore National Park and Nature Reserve. It was one of the most magical experiences I've had in many, many years of travelling. The vast array of carefully curated and beautifully prepared drinks and food -- both Indian and "western" dishes -- available at the Resort's bar and restaurant was incredible. And the staff -- from the Manager to individual housekeepers, servers and groundskeepers -- were among the kindest, warmest and most genuine hotel employees I have ever had the pleasure to deal with. Every aspect of our visit was absolute perfection.

Its near Sawai Madhopur, 15 min from railway station, can travel by August Kranti Rajdhani or 3 hrs from Jaipur airport or 5 hrs drive from Delhi. So connected and still away from all kind of noise (means unwanted noise ). its calm, its destination where you can connect with nature and with yourself. Tent is kind of your own habitat, it has boundary within property. Its completely private. A very well maintained gardens, flora and fauna. You have visitors to your tent like peacock, mongoose ...Just in mid of wildlife, wow what a amazing property. Food , I think its one of the best in class food i have tested till date. Rajastani food is available on demand is authentic, I can say that because during my all Rajastan visits i had food from all kind of places, starting from home made food to 5 star experience food. and this one is beyond all what i had tested. Lovely food, it was so yammi I was not able to take photos. So its worth experiencing
