Carmel Valley Ranch has always been an escape with plenty of room to roam, to explore, to discover. Where people rekindle romances, reunite with friends and family, revive spirits, or simply get away and play. And these days, play is more important than ever. Our all-suite accommodations are where the luxury of resort living meets the call of the wild. Swap stories by the fireplace. Gaze at the stars from your private deck as you savor a glass of wine from our own vineyard. You’ll be comfy, carefree, and most of all, captivated. The only Pete Dye-designed bentgrass golf course in Northern California is right here at Carmel Valley Ranch, and no matter how you slice it (or hook it), this par-70 layout offers something for all players: tactical shots, dramatic elevation changes and incredible scenery. Our talented artisans add a unique twist to experiences at The Ranch—join them and hang out with horses, say hello to honeybees, greet our goats, and more.

We celebrated our honeymoon at the Carmel Valley Ranch and felt like VIPs! Our entire trip was so luxurious and we enjoyed great meals, golf, spa time, and relaxation time. All of the service was top tier, we want to especially thank Ishmael for going above and beyond to make us feel so welcomed during our stay.

Accommodations and staff were amazing. Grounds were immaculate, food was delicious, not to mention the special treat they delivered to our room for our anniversary. Everything was absolutely top notch. Thank you CVR!!

Our recent stay at CVR was a challenge to say the least. We hope the details will help them improve, and inform future guests. First off, almost all staff we interacted with were amazing. Jocelyn at the checkin, John at the Corral were exceptionally warm. We also loved all the animals and fun little events. The remodel and restaurants were great. The order of events which led to our negative review: - Checked into a estate room with a kitchenette, helpful for our infant daughter. - 3 year old and infant sleep in the room after the drive while we unpacked. Receive a call that there will not be hot water during our stay. We are given a choice to pack and unpack at another room across property, or have no hot water. We chose to stay as it would take multiple hours to setup all childrens items. We are told water will be fixed the next day. We are eventually given access to another room for showers. - 2nd night of our stay, weird noises occur below our room, and suddenly, fire alarm goes off. Both children are awake and crying, couldn't settle them until 2am. During this time, the construction crew let us know that the welding for the water heater set off the alarm. This construction occurred at 11:30pm. - AC was broken. Didn't impact us as it was cool at night, but temps reached 80+ during the afternoon. We ended up having the kids nap in the car. We've stayed at this property many times prior, and this was the only time we've had any issues. Normally, we'd not mention it but the situation was truly terrible. Not sure what happened here. In the end, we were offered the equivalent of a comped dinner and some hyatt points.

We booked a last-minute spring break vacation at Carmel Valley Ranch with our two teenage kids and couldn't have been happier with our choice. The room was spacious and fit our family perfectly. Both the king bed and pull out sofa was comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep for all of us.One of the highlights of our stay was exploring the beautiful property. We took the "Huff and Puff" hike and were treated to some breathtaking views along the way.But what truly made our stay memorable was meeting Jack on the ranch. He is an incredible, kind, and friendly young man who went above and beyond to help us wash our dog before returning to the room. He also shared some valuable wisdom about his working experience on the ranch with our teenagers. It's encounters like these that remind us of the goodness in people and make us appreciate the little things in life. Carmel Valley Ranch exceeded our expectations in every way. From the comfortable accommodations to the stunning surroundings and the friendly staff like Jack, we couldn't have asked for a better spring break getaway. The world needs more awesome humans like Jack.
