Aguas de Ibiza, if it was refurbished, it would be a great hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 12 hours ago

The hotel was apparently completed in 2009. The layout is really nice and the staff are excellent. We had a top floor suite with a sea view. It had excellent facility and a very large bed. The hotel however, is overdue for a makeover. I don’t expect it’s been refurbished since new. The wooden flooring on the roof. Some planks aren’t even resting on a joist so bend under foot. The floor in the room looks like it’s dusty, it’s where the laminate has been washed off, probably using the wrong cleaning material. The fixings on the cupboard hinges were mostly loose, so the doors didn’t close properly. The bed legs are iron and are set right on the corner and thin. I accidentally stubbed my toes twice, and it was really painful. The laminate was bubbling on some walls in the corridor. At times the water when showering, jumped from hot to cold and back without touching the control. There were broken tiles around the basement water treatments, coming off in lumps. The breakfast was excellent with the staff hard working. The location was great. I don’t like complaining, I hope this helps to improve the reputation of the Aguas de Ibiza hotel. The cleaners work hard keeping it clean, but I think it’s time for a refurbished.

Great hotel, sadly disappointing rooftop restaurant

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

We are staying here right now and it's an excellent hotel, with great facilities, including an amazing spa and very friendly staff at Reception and in the bars ( yes genuinely nice people). HOWEVER... the rooftop Maymanta restaurant is a real disappointment. The view is great, the food is good but the VERY slow service and lack of attention was disappointing. We started our dinner at 9.20pm on Saturday evening and ended on Sunday morning - true! It's not cheap and we were prepared to pay for a good experience. This was not. In the end, we didn't pay for any drinks. Disappointing in what is otherwise a fantastic hotel. We are sorry we have to say this, but we want the hotel to know.

A very honest review

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

During our stay we definitely had a couple of hiccups. We arrived and our cloud nine suites view was very different to the images (really they should declare a true representation online of what some of the suites actually look like) The view was a building site, not picturesque, also noisy especially during the day times. I wasn’t happy, we’d payed a substantial additional amount for a suite so I was really disappointed with the room and I asked to switch immediately. They offered me another room but only for the next day, I then decided not to unpack as we’d be changing the following day which was abit of a pain. So the room they gave us was just a regular double room which was super small considering we have a toddler. I was very surprised they’d think I was happy with a downgrade ? So then the only option was to go back to the other room, we missed our dinner reservation that evening sorting it all out going back and forth. It was a real shame this happened and was abit stressful, I’d expect them to upgrade us not downgrade us. 411 room is in need of some serious maintenance, The TV just doesn’t work. There is a foul smell coming from the toilet, it’s really bad like urine, and the smell echos through the bathroom, it was really gross. The bath is really tricky to put on and turn the tap. Almost impossible, same with the plug. The sinks taps are like trickling and it doesn’t run warm There is no full length mirror ? for 5* though this was abit off The wardrobe doors don’t open fully and get stuck There wasn’t a bottle opener in the room despite them topping us up with bottled water every day that we couldn’t open. I really think they shouldn’t let that room out to any future guests until all of it’s resolved. If you get this room I feel really bad for you, I really believe our trip was impacted because of that room. We went out every day. We’d probably have stayed around the hotel more often if we had a better room. It was a shame they couldn’t just upgrade us. Because of this I won’t be returning to this hotel. Which is a shame since we travel to Ibiza often. On the positive the breakfast was really great so many choices, we did love it although feel like 8am is quite late to open. The staff were super friendly and courteous and we were allowed with our toddler in the rooftop bar which was super kind of them as I know it’s adults only The bar is v expensive but I guess that’s just Ibiza for you! (21 euro for spicy marg- although very nice) The food at the pool bar isn’t that great our kids pasta arrived cold we had to send back to reheat. I’d definitely skip it and go into town! Lots of nice options on the harbour and town! The pool is is lovely and rooftop is gorgeous ! Stunning views and feels luxe, We did enjoy this part of it I’d have definitely been back if it wasn’t for that room!

The hotel is not a 5 star. It’s a very run down 4 star. We saw tiles falling apart, cracks, wires hanging out.

This hotel is not a 5 star in any sense. It’s a very very run down 4 star. The lifts are slow, tiles falling off the spa, wires hanging out doors inside the room. The staff is ok and nice with what they are dealt with. I also found a big bone in my chicken salad which I almost swallowed and the salad had chicken breast cubes so no idea how such a big bone got into it. I would never go back and would highly recommend anyone thinking of staying to manage their expectations.

Perfect stay 🐬☀️

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Perfect family break - this is the second time we have stayed here 1st as a couple and now with our children - I was genuinely worried after reading some of the reviews but honestly we had the best time! All the staff are attentive and friendly - hotel is in great condition - yes some areas of wear and tear but overall nothing to be negative about - the food is 10/10 and it’s a must try for mayamanta on the top floor. We had one issue with our room and it was quickly rectified. Perfect location we will definitely return. Building work is nearby but we had the luxury of a sea view - we never heard one bit of noise so it did not affect our holiday. Thank you aguas de Ibiza.
