Annabelle

We were looking to book a relaxing weekend at a 5-star hotel with a direct sea view. Based on its marketing and online presentation, the Annabelle Hotel in Paphos appeared to be a high-quality property, which was exactly what we were looking for. The hotel offers both "Side Sea View Rooms" and "Sea View Rooms." We specifically chose to pay more per night to secure a room with a direct sea view. We arrived at the hotel about two hours before check-in and were politely asked to wait until 2:00 PM, which is perfectly reasonable. We waited patiently. However, when we were finally given our room, it was not the room we had booked. We were told it was a "Sea View Room," but in reality, it was a pool-view room with sea side view. I calmly explained that this was not what we had paid for and that the sea view had been an important factor in our booking decision. Reluctantly, the manager checked again and eventually found the room category we had actually paid for. Unfortunately, that room was not yet cleaned or ready for occupancy. As a result, we had to wait another two hours, until 4:00 PM, before receiving the correct room. No compensation was offered by the hotel, nor did we ask for any, out of courtesy. It is also worth noting that while the hotel's public areas (lobby, pool, etc.) appear well-maintained, the guest rooms themselves do not. The air conditioning barely cooled the room and emitted a strong moldy smell. Because of this, we had to sleep with the windows open despite the humidity and mosquitoes, simply to have fresh air to breathe. Additional Issues 1. Overpriced Restaurant The hotel's restaurant is extremely expensive—more than double the prices of restaurants located just outside the hotel. Unfortunately, the quality of the food did not justify the cost. We strongly recommend dining at one of the nearby restaurants instead. 2. Unreasonable Service We purchased both alcoholic and soft drinks from the hotel and asked for a single glass of ice to accompany them. The staff refused outright, claiming that the drinks we had ordered already contained ice and that beverages brought from outside the hotel (a bottle of water from my bag and a can) were not allowed to be consumed in the public areas. In all our years of travel, we have never been refused a glass of ice as hotel guests or restaurant customers. Even when we had not purchased drinks, staff at other establishments were generally courteous and accommodating. In our opinion, this was inappropriate customer service and certainly not what one would expect from a hotel presenting itself as a 5-star property. Bottom Line Overall, the experience was very disappointing and nowhere near the relaxing, premium getaway we had hoped for. While the public areas create a good first impression, the room quality, service issues, and handling of our booking left us feeling that the hotel did not deliver the standard promised or expected from a 5-star hotel.

This was our third visit to the Annabelle Hotel and again, it did not disappoint. The hotel staff are always polite and friendly. The food ( we only ate breakfast) is always excellent. There was a vast choice of foods available and everything is freshly prepared. We enjoyed a few cocktails in the afternoon from the outside bar which were lovely too. Our room was cleaned daily and was immaculate. I'd recommend this hotel to adults looking for peace and relaxation in a beautiful setting.

The Annabelle Hotel is an absolutely fantastic hotel. Located in such a great location, on the sea front, footsteps from the harbour. We stayed here and held our wedding here in May 2026. The hotel itself is outstanding! The atmosphere is very welcoming, relaxed and extremely inviting. The rooms that we had were spotless! Bathrooms were extremely clean. The hotel is not a cheap hotel, but the quality is excellent. An extremely good 5* Hotel. The hotel is located in a fabulous spot. There is no noise close by. The service here is brilliant. All staff, were on hand all the time. And were always available to help. I cannot fault this hotel or staff at all. The weddings co-ordinator Martina was excellent. The restaurants and spa facilities were also fantastic.

I went with my partner to get married @ the Annabelle Hotel , from the very beginning & before we got there, the whole experience was amazing the wedding coordinator Martina was absolutely fantastic no stone was left unturned , she was always available to contact no task was to hard or impossible sort out . All the staff at the Annabelle were fantastic they welcomed us into their Hotel with politeness & redpect they were on hand 24/7 . The room we had was amazing cleaned twice a day if needed and was really nice . The atmosphere of the hotel very relaxed and run well like a oiled machine .i would highly recommend The Annabelle to any couple who wanted to get married . The standard of food in the hotel was top quality full alcarte. And a really good breakfast dining room . Final note we made friends with the staff it felt like a extended family . The value was not cheap it was reasonable extremely good quality and for location 2 mins from promenade everything is very close by
