Carillon Miami Wellness Resort

DO NOT STAY HERE! First of all I booked this stay after my grandmother, who I was close to, died. My thought was if I'm going to be sad I can go be sad on a beach somewhere. I researched many different hotels and options. On the Carllion's website there are rooms listed as ocean view and partial ocean view. On booking I found an ocean view room. The images on the room showed a full ocean view and as on the hotel website they are marked that way I booked it. When I got to the hotel it was not clear where to go and no one approached me when I pulled up. I had never done valet before so I went around the circle and was kind of in the middle of everything before I got the attention of someone to ask what to do. They seemed a bit bothered by me. No one offered to help with my bags. I checked in with no difficulty but when I struggled to pick everything up no one offered to help which would typically be fine but as a luxury hotel I would expect better customer service. When I went to my room I could see the ocean if I sat right next to my bed and looked sideways out the window and not from the living room. To make it worse there was construction outside my room that I look directly onto. They're were also palm trees obstructing the view so all of the ocean I could see was the first 5 feet of water then nothing. No horizon. I typically wouldn't complain about palm trees but I paid for an ocean view and this was not it. Especially for the price. I went to the front desk to talk to them about it. The man there said "you got what you booked" and asked if I had booked a balcony. I said no because I didn't. No where on the website or booking was it stated you had to have a balcony to get an ocean view room instead of a partial ocean view. He said he would let me know if he had something and I never heard from them again. So I went to have my facial. Once I got there there was an earsplitting noise. They lady greeted me and send me to the mens lounge. At this point I was confused because I'm not a man, did she just mistake me for one? How could she have mistaken me? As I am asking myself these questions a man comes out (he was a guest in a robe). He give me a dirty look. I felt like I'd gone into the wrong bathroom and was moderately humiliated. So I go back to the front desk and say hey I'm in the mens lounge. She says yes that's right its just because of the noise and it is much quieter on the mens side. It would have been great to hear that before so I wouldn't have been so embarrassed. My facial was great. I went back to my room to take a shower. As I step into the shower there is sand all over the bottom. I have no idea who cleaned the room but clearly there was not enough attention to detail. This was very disappointing as this is listed as a LUXURY hotel. So far my stay was not as expected, front desk was rude, spa was loud, and the room was not clean. Again I was on this trip to get away and grieve my grandmother. I didn't have the energy to fight as much as I should. But okay tomorrow will be better and they'll reach out if they have another room. The spa people were lovely and got me booked for a same day appointment. I went and then took advantage of the thermal spa (this was the main reason aside from an ocean view room that I booked this hotel). It was okay but once the novelty wears off I noticed that the foot baths were out of order, the tropical showers either had broken speakers, broken showers that just dropped, or both. On all the doors it says or was supposed to be a no cell phone zone and everyone was on them and no one said a thing. One lady took a call in the thermal spa and nothing was said. There were times missing from the wall. I then decided that I wanted to go to the adults only pool, I get up there and the attendant requests my last name and room number which i give him. There was no one else up there. As a few more people come up he doesn't as a single one what their last name or room number is. Before anyone else came up I got set up and went to get water on his table. When I got there he was screwing the cap back on what looked like a mini bar alcohols bottle. He was drinking on the job. Again at this point I'm the only one at the pool and I was very uncomfortable being up there with a potentially drunk man. More people came up so I decided to stay. Once I was done I went back down to the thermal spa to shower. I get in the shower and I look up and there is clearly mold on the ceiling. It was a very dark color. I'm not saying it was black mold but it was mold that was black. It was concerning. Aside from all that the food was lackluster and the area around the hotel seemed rougher than I expected. My expectation was a relaxing stay to grieve but what I got was rude people, drunk people, and an overall dirty, run down stay. I have reached out to the hotel and will update if I can with their response. I will never be returning to stay at the hotel.

My mother and I had an incredible experience at Carillon Miami Wellness Resort. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, with a relaxing atmosphere and world-class amenities that make it a perfect wellness getaway. The spa experience was truly exceptional. Keny and David gave us massages that were easily 10/10—professional, attentive, and incredibly relaxing. We left feeling completely refreshed and rejuvenated. A special thank you to Nicole, who was so welcoming and sweet from the moment we arrived. She kept us on schedule with all of our booked spa services and made sure everything ran seamlessly. We also want to thank Christina for her wonderful recommendation and having us —it exceeded all of our expectations. It's easy to see why Carillon Miami Wellness Resort is so popular among travelers. The expansive spa, outstanding service, and caring staff made our visit unforgettable. We can't wait to return!

I was given a gift card for a massage from a dear colleague. I chose Keny ( female therapist) very sweet and gave an amazing massage. She is very skilled and excellent as a massage therapist . She knew exactly all my trigger points. I love that she is very detailed oriented and very caring person. I will definitely recommend her Highly as there is so many therapist to choose from. My only disappointment was front desk. The gentleman who took care of me gave a wonderful warm welcome but wasn’t clear on the questions I asked and said he couldn’t help me but did towards the end. As a past Front desk Concierge I know how important it is to make lasting impressions. You are the face of the Spa and you should always try to go over and beyond to ensure a delightful Experience. Another big problem was calling and getting someone to call you back. The Spa attendant were very warm and accommodating!!!!!:)

We had a wonderful stay here for our Mother’s Day weekend getaway! The outdoor patio was one of our favorite parts — such a relaxing space to unwind and spend time together. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the room itself was very large and spacious with plenty of room for our party of three. Everything felt clean, welcoming, and thoughtfully set up. We really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely recommend it to others looking for a comfortable and relaxing place to stay!

This is the only hotel I’ve ever walked into and left and booked another hotel in my life! I think the wellness aspect is what you go for… which we are in to, but the beach is small, pool area is like a 2 star in Tenerife, sofa bed in apartment looked like something I would see on the side of the street. Bathrooms are lovely, kitchen area is awful. All lampshades were stained, dirty, or falling off. City view is construction. Gym and spa looked good, lots of classes etc. the rooms on the other side, and/or not apartments are probably great. Let us have a refund which was really appreciated.
