Beautiful hotel. Amazing setting. Direct access to private pontoon for boat trip pick- ups. Many seating areas and two pool areas so you feel like you have the place to yourself. Lots of steps to top infinity pool but absolutely stunning. Great staff. Great food

Lake Atitlan is a very beautiful area. The lake is surrounded by mountains and volcanoes. The hotel has excellent views of the lake and the mountains. Especially from the upper pool the view is fantastic. The location is really stunning. The hotel is very charming. Several small houses. The main restaurant and the bar have great views. The rooms are nice. I recommend to book one of the rooms with air condition. They are also relatively new and are in a nice modern Design. They are relatively small but charming. And most of them have nice views. We were very happy with our room (San Andres). It is just above the main pool, so you can easily go there and have a swim. As mentioned above the second pool has fantastic views. As mentioned by some reviewers there are many steps to go up’s den down, so for people with walking issues this might be a bit difficult. The staff is very friendly. Well appreciated. However the service is slow. We had to wait in average 45 minutes from the order to get our breakfast. But as we’re on holiday and they were friendly we were ok. I wish the manager would have talked a bit more to the guests - usually in R&C Hotels the managers always talk to their guest every day, which is a very nice and personalized gesture. Hopefully they will work on this. The food in the main restaurant is unfortunately not good. Already the breakfast is not good. The choice is very limited and the quality is not good. Same goes for dinner. We tried several dishes, none was good. The restaurant next to the lake is much better. Already the design is very nice, the staff again very friendly and the food was good. In particular the ceviche was excellent. Definitely one of the better options in Guatemala. We enjoyed our stay. Hopefully they can work on some things as mentioned above, then the experience would be even better and would better match the standards of R&C. In any case thanks to all the friendly staff members. They helped to make our stay a memorable and Pleasant one.

I am obsessed with Casa Palopó, plain and simple. I am already planning another visit and count this among the most impressive places I've ever stayed. First... THE VIEWS. I mean, wow, I can't imagine a better view of the lake from anywhere else. The property is quiet and peaceful and embodies the essence of a lakeside retreat. The food was absolutely delicious (you MUST visit Kinnik whether you're staying here or not, I mean, some of the best meals of my life were here!!) and the attention to detail by the staff was top notch. I loved that the hotel was decorated in a way that felt so homey and that each room was personalized.

Beautiful place to stay & eat- but not for those that can't do a lot of steps! Large, romantic room with lovely views...but lots of steps to get to that! Restaurant is good, breakfast excellent!

From the moment we arrived, Casa Palopó felt like a dream. The property is absolutely stunning, perched above the lake with breathtaking views that never get old. Every member of the staff greeted us with genuine warmth and smiles, and the service was flawless throughout our stay. The details made all the difference. Our room included thoughtful touches like a meditation kit with palo santo and white sage, as well as a painting kit to capture the incredible scenery. Each night, turndown service was accompanied by a small regional gift of Guatemala placed on the bed—such a unique and meaningful gesture. The welcome drink was delightful, setting the tone for a stay filled with charm and care. From start to finish, every aspect of Casa Palopó exceeded expectations and made us feel truly special. If you’re visiting Lake Atitlán, this is the place to stay. Beautiful property, impeccable service, and an atmosphere that makes you want to savor every moment. Absolutely deserving of 5 stars.

Palopo is the singular most enjoyable hotel I have ever stayed in through Luxury Link or for that matter-anywhere in the world! The views of the magnificent Lake Atitlan framed by the volcanoes in the background is an eye-opening experience that is unmatched anywhere. The management and staff of the Casa Palopo are stealth-like in their first-rate service and guest relations and go above and beyond for their clients. Just to walk the grounds, swim the pools, to view the artwork and furnishings of the rooms throughout the premises is a sensory adventure. Our four days at Casa Palopo was an "extraordinary travel experience of the highest quality in accommodations, service and overall comfort." If you are looking for world-finest class accommodations, natural beauty, superb hospitality - Casa Palopo is the place for you.
