Tucked between Lucca and Siena and looking out over Tuscany's Maremma coastline, Castello del Granduca was built at the beginning of the 16th century and is the historic home of Leopold II, Grand Duke of Tuscany. The goal of present-day host Cesare Merciai is to give discriminating travelers the opportunity to live the sumptuous life of ancient nobility amid the comforts of the new millennium.
