Ciragan Palace Kempinski Istanbul

The Çirağan has no equal. The rooms are exquisitely appointed, the e staff are exceptionally attentive, and the views are breathtaking. One of my absolute ffavorite hotels in the world.

We stayed here just for one night, to cap off a long trip in the region and following a perfectly pleasant stay at another Istanbul hotel. When we arrived at check-in, a super helpful and empathetic clerk named Ms. Meryem (sp?) clearly looked concerned about our booking, and relayed to me that I actually had neglected to complete some post booking process with a separate email and payment link and therefore the hotel had canceled our booking. We were crestfallen, and I was already picturing having to stay at some dive last minute on our last night in Istanbul, but Meryem had already shifted into problem solving mode, involved her colleague, the impressive assistant front office manager Mr. Mesut Erbas, in finding a solution. The customer service was smooth and efficient and they quickly slipped by my initial protestations of "well I didn't see the email, how was I to know, etc." and moved speedily to a very favourable solution, whereby they couldn't rebook under my initial rate, but got us a lower category room at roughly the same rate and then upgraded us to the same or slightly better room as in my original booking (a Bosphorus View Room, highly recommended, large balcony with lovely views). Mr. Erbas and Ms. Meryem saved the day and allowed us to end our Istanbul trip on a high note. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay at this hotel, and didn't leave the grounds until we departed for the airport (following a late check out provided by Ms. Meryem...). The pool staff were friendly, helpful and attentive without being annoying. We had dinner at the Bosphorus Grill, which was amazing food, views and ambiance. The room was well appointed (even had pool flip flops...), spotless, lovely amenities, complimentary minbar beverages, etc. I would like to provide some constructive criticism, in order to be balanced, but struggle to identify any real issues. I suppose that the original booking process could have been slightly more clear, in that the "confirmation" email I received didn't explicitly say that there was a separate payment link being sent, but that is as much my fault for not checking my inbox and spam folders, as it was the hotel's responsibility. Not the cheapest room in town, but unlike many places we've stayed, worth every penny, and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We had an awesome couple of days thanks to great service offered in this splendid hotel right next to Bosphorus strait. Special thanks to Mesut Erbaş and his team who helped us with all of our stay throughout. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing an astonishing stay in Istanbul.

Stayed at the palace for a special event and WOW. The rooms were stunning, food was fantastic and staff were thoughtful and Kind. I definitely recommend the breakfast buffet… One of the best breakfast buffets ever in my life. This is very small detail, but the shampoo and conditioner is the best smelling shampoo and conditioner I’ve ever smelled… It took some home with me and still sometimes when I use it, it takes me back to the palace. Don’t miss this hotel. Perfect luxury experience in Istanbul.
