My husband and I had dinner in Dante today (7/6/26). For main course we both ordered the spaghetti linguine which is stated on both the menu outside the restaurant and the one given at the table at £75. When the bill came they charged £95 per main raising the bill by an extra £40 (plus whatever the extra service charge would have been). When questioned it took over five minutes to get this rectified and until I expressed that this was a cheeky move, did we get an apology. There was also a wedding going on in the restaurant and when it came to the best man speech which could be heard from the other side of the restaurant where we were seated the F word was used around ten times and an inappropriate joke. It would have been appreciated if someone would have acknowledged this isn’t ideal for a couple having a special occasion meal. Of course the bill was settled in full including service but this was not a great experience.

Went for a weekend away with my wife for her birthday and wanted something special. From the moment you step out of the car the attention to detail is beyond measure. The experience is second to none and can't be compared to anything else. The hardest part is having to leave but at least you have the knowledge you will return.

Iconic venue but not sure our bill was correct compared with the menu prices however we felt obliged to pay it because it was such a lovely lunch. Staff were really good 👍

Everything about this hotel is perfect from the moment you step up to the door to the moment you leave. This is the epitome of how every hotel should be run. Nothing was too much trouble from the start of our experience to the end. Heard a lovely story from the taxi driver who took us to a restaurant when we left which epitomises the ethos of the hotel (about offering him a super cheap deal coming out of covid). Its not cheap, but worth every penny. One thing I would be cautious of is ordering the Japanese breakfast again (if I am ever lucky enough to stay again). Thanks again to the hotel for upgrading us - it made our wedding even more super special).
