There are few places on the planet where nature's greatest achievements on land and water come together to create paradise - and even fewer that also happen to be home to a luxurious lodge. Cotton Tree Lodge in brilliant Belize is just such a rarity. Nestled within the Belizean rainforest on the banks of the Moho River, the environmentally-friendly Lodge sits at the base of a towering cotton tree. A perfectly secluded spot in the heart of the rainforest, the Lodge gives you a chance to immerse yourself in a tropical dream.

I was extremely impressed with the grounds, the staff and so enjoyed my stay, I wanted to stay longer. The cabana are up off the ground and so private. The grounds have trails all around so you can look and experience nature as it was made to enjoy. I kayaked up the river and saw much. I used a short visit as a relaxant and was not disappointed. Staff goes out of its way to help and provide guidance in along your journey They provide meals and drink if you choose to do so, and I was pleased with the organic “farm-to-table” experience. Check this out and you will be glad you did Dean from Minnesota

This jungle vacation was truly a wonderful experience! From the beautiful thatched roof cabanas to the 5 course dinner every night I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Curtis made sure every need was met and went above and beyond to make everyday a good day. The staff that took us on our tours were very knowledgeable, had a good sense of humor and seemed to truly love their job. I look forward to returning. The meals were very good and the organic gardens fabulous. I'm celiac and the chef did a wonderful job making sure I had a ton of food to eat at every meal, even when it was a packed lunch to take on a tour! The sounds of the jungle are wonderful to wake up to each morning, and the Howler monkeys will not be forgotten any time soon! The showers and the plumbing in the cabanas work well and purified water for drinking is in abundance!

Beautiful grounds and loved the cabin. On the river and liked the walkways. Definitely do the night hike, just $25 pp and well worth it. Food was just ok and over priced. Coffee not good, surprised given Belize and Central America are known for their coffee. We left a day early because weather was not good and wanted to head elsewhere in Belize where weather was better.

Great off the grid lodge. Spent a week there and it was above my expectations. This is a true jungle lodge. Don't expect air conditioning and room service, Rooms are cabanas built up about 10 feet. Very authentic jungle theme. Large rooms and nice size bathroom. Plenty to do every day. Many local tours and sites to see and do. Beds were comfortable food was good.

Excellent! It feels like a trip to another planet. Everything is new and exciting. The chocolate making, Blue Creek hiking trips, soft bamboo by the river, magnificent cotton trees, beautiful birds, and the jungle sounds at night. We feel truly blessed to be here. Thank you all for sharing a part of your lives with us. Miles of smiles will always connect us.

Of all of the places I have visited, Cotton Tree Lodge stands alone. There is real warmth here, friendliness, kindness, thoughtfulness. In my first few days here, I have seen more beautiful places and met more wonderful faces, than I have in any month of my life. Thank you to everyone responsible for making Cotton Tree an inspirational retreat.

What a treat! From the iguanas in the trees, to the carefully designed excursions, to the refreshing swim in the Moho, to the great meals and exceptionally friendly staff... we had a great time at the CottonTree Lodge. I'm sure I'll be returning... the silence (no freeway noises!), the lure of the jungle, and the stars will lure me back.

Cotton Tree Lodge was everything we were expecting in a lush jungle setting and then much, much more. Planned activities were exciting, educational, and staffed by local people who know and appreciate the delicate ecosystems of the jungle.

We leave Belize and go back to Austin, TX. Thanks to our new favorite bartender and the wonderful chef. You could taste the love in the food. We had great adventures that we will always remember. Walking across the river (AKA-the border) into Guatemala was picture perfect. Thanks to everyone working to make our stay fun and relaxing.

I am a bit speechless as I sit here in this magnificent lodge hearing the morning dialogue of many birds and contemplating my journey home where I will be soon steeped in responsibility. This trip was truly adventurous and inspiring in ways I did not expect. No need for money, watches, keys, phones, blow dryer etc. The beauty of the country and it's wildlife are a given, but the people here at the lodge and in the villages have touched me. Thank you for making this one of my most memorable getaways.

My week at Cotton Tree truly was amazing. Everyone at Cotton Tree is especially nice and helpful. I mean it when I say that I believe the best people in Belize work there! We toured the beautiful grounds, explored a Mayan ruin, hiked into a wet cave, learned to make chocolate, braved a night in the jungle lodge, swam under a waterfall, went dancing at the local disco in PG, and to Pastor Sanchez's church in Boom Creek for a wonderful Sunday service. I had time to enjoy and discover a place that will forever be close to my heart.
