Staff and restaurants were fine. Food was mediocre. My big issue is lack of cell service and/or WIFI. Extremely spotty and very inconvenient. Also, TV in my condo did not work. I contacted the front desk, who told me someone would come to fix it. That was two days ago. Courses were pretty good, but not memorable. Overall, an acceptable experience but not sure if I would come back.

Four of us where in a Villa. Two guys wanted a better room and upgraded. They naturally were charged extra. The two remaining were also charged extra although we didn't change our reservation. At checkout the two protested the increase to no avail.

I have been part of a group of 16 friends that has visited Garland for the last 9 years. We all come from the greater Toronto Area. We play 4 rounds over a 3 day period. Our experience has been nothing short of spectacular. The courses are always immaculate. The staff is always exceptional and the food is fantastic and reasonable. We always leave saying can't wait until next year.

On the night of Friday, August 1st, 2025, at approximately 9pm, I was driving to our cottage in Lewiston. Unexpectantly my tire pressure gauge alerted me to the fact my tire was going flat. I drove several miles until I could park somewhere flat and illuminated. I pulled into the main driveway at Garland and began the process. About halfway thru, Brian Higdon, the night security specialist stopped and offered his services. At that point I certainly wasn't going to turn him down! Immediately afterwards, Roach, the head of security assisted by pulling behind us, blocking any potential cars coming from our rear, and his headlamps giving us the final piece of help we needed. The spare tire was installed in no time, and I was back on the road! I can't thank Brian, Roach and Garland Lodge and Golf Resort enough. I called the GM of the resort the next day (Dave Sanderson Jr.) to compliment him on his staff and after leaving him a voicemail to call me back, it was only minutes until I heard back from him. I can't thank everyone at Garland enough for their "above and beyond" exceptional customer service!

I did not stay there but I have to share this because I think what they did borders on illegal. I called and left a message asking for a quote and when the lady called back she seemed irrated with me. She told me she couldn't understand my message and was very short. When I gave her the days I wanted to come up she immediately told me there was no availabilty. So I had my wife go online and ask for the exact same days and within a few hours she received a quote saying the days were available. I am definitely not one to believe in conspiricies but this seems rather biased to me. Why would you turn me away?
