Reviews for Hotel Miramar Barcelona

Nice hotel, fantastic staff fee teething problems

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 23 hours ago

The hotels location is fantastic but dont walk through the park late at night as unfortunately there is alot of homeless people there and people smoking drugs and drinking. Whilst this is out of the hotels control, it is the back entrance leading up to the hotel just so your aware. The hotel is very well maintained with great amenities. The pools and gym are great, the spa looked lovely however we didnt use it as it was much more costly than others located nearby. The staff were very attentive and always there to help rectify issues (which unfortunately there were a few). Kheraba, Muhammed and Lily went above and beyond to help us and always with a smile on their faces! There were others but unfortunately didn't get there names. We booked an executive room (411) and the view from the balcony was of a car park and some men working out the back. As this was an anniversary trip we requested to move rooms and had to pay extra. We were moved to 318. Unfortunately this had a very restricted sea view and no balcony, so had to move again to 319. This room was lovely with an amazing view! We went out for the day and on return there was no power to the room as this could not be rectified that night, once again we were in the move to a suite this time to make up for the inconvenience. Suite 502 is stunning the views are incredible unfortunately the ac only worked on night one so the room was a little warm. This is a new hotel and having teething problems, but the staff are there to try and help as quickly as possible. I'm sure they will help the hotel achieve the 5 star rating, just a few issues to sort first.

Misleading Pet Policy and Extremely Unprofessional Service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Absolutely unacceptable and highly unprofessional experience. We booked this hotel specifically because it clearly stated on Booking.com that pets are allowed. Upon arrival, however, we were refused entry with our dog without any valid or consistent explanation, leaving us stranded without accommodation. To make matters even worse, the hotel changed its pet policy just one day after our reservation and then refused to honor the conditions that were clearly in place at the time of booking. This is misleading and completely unacceptable. What was particularly shocking was that the receptionist subjectively assessed the weight of our dog on the spot and used this as a reason to deny us entry. This kind of arbitrary and unprofessional behavior is simply outrageous. This is the first time in my life I have experienced such treatment. It demonstrates a complete lack of professionalism, reliability, and respect for guests. I strongly advise anyone — especially those traveling with pets — to avoid this hotel. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend it under any circumstances.

Retreat from the city to a peaceful oasis.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 8 months ago

Beautiful hotel to escape the city humdrum. Exceptional views across the city. Staff wonderful, very helpful in all hotel depts. We couldn't get WiFi at all and were moved to 5th floor. Very good idea as air conditioning on 3rd floor bedroom very noisy. Need more storage space. Dresses cannot be hung without creasing at bottom. Please use walls to put up some hooks. Pool delightful but building a sauna at the moment, so not peaceful, beautiful, never the less. Food here is some of the best I have ever tasted, and I am a worldwide traveller, compliments to your chefs. The spa here is wonderful. I wished I had booked longer for my massage and facial. Very skilled spa therapists and big shout out to lovely guy at spa reception from the Pacific islands. Total professional. This is a complete escape from the city, a retreat almost. Taxi back and forward can add substantially to the holiday. It depends what your priorities are.

Quality hotel with beautiful views, service, food and pool!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 10 months ago

Absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Miramar, it’s so peaceful and beautiful with the city views. The pool, food, cocktails, service and our room were fabulous - I was a little concerned after some of the reviews but we had a fantastic experience. I would love to go back tomorrow!
