We stayed at the Hotel Gruener Baum in Bad Gastein, and had a wonderful time. The setting is extremely picturesque, and the buildings of the resort serve to provide a natural oasis every time you walk outside. Our apartment in the spa complex was spacious and well laid out. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful in accommodating our requests, including hiking information, bus and train schedules, and pool/spa information. We enjoyed the food immensely, with extensive and very good quality breakfast choices. The quality was high here as well and presentation was varied and impressive. We would definitely return to this hotel.

We stayed for the five days and had a spectacular time! The food was delicious and every evening's meal included some form of Austrian entertainment that magnified the charm of our surroundings. Every aspect of our stay was filled with warmth and hospitality as we were nestled in the picturesque scenery of the Austrian Alps. My wife and I are looking forward to returning to the Gruener Baum very soon.
