Il Borro was the food my hungry soul needed for the longest time!! My family of three checked into Il Borro from June 28-July 2nd. The minute I walked onto the magnificent estate of Il Borro I knew I was connected to the history of the place. Walking past the reception into the main property area instantly created a spiritual connection for me. I felt like I was walking into something very familiar. The medieval village where our family was staying was spectacular. It was filled with artisans of all kinds (jewelry maker, shoemaker, painter) and had a church from the 13th century that added to the serenity of the place. Our two bedroom suite was warm and cozy filled with accents that resembled the Tuscan living of the past. Starting from meeting Francesco and Carla at the reception to the day we checked out everyone on the team was extremely professional. I want to thank all of the staff...Juan Carlos, Ricardo, Tomas, Paula, Latiszia, Sommelier Sofia, Equestrian Elena, Chef Simona, and the staff at Tuscan Bistro, Osteria and Pomario. Our family was made to feel at home and we felt like we were royalty on the Il Borro estate. Our favourite activity was the Cooking Class with Chef Simona. She was so passionate about cooking and teaching us how to make pici, aubergine parmigiana, and cantucci. It was a therapeutic experience and one I am carrying back to Toronto with me♥️. I want to thank the Ferragamo family for creating a magical space and opening their family property to the world...the tag line 'A Place Like No Other' is truly apt. Il Borro has captured a big part of my heart and soul. I hope my destiny brings me back one day!! Lastly I want to thank the assistant manager Luisa Amegli. Thank you for your beautiful note and the bag of goodies that you gifted us. I am hoping to make the Il Borro pasta very soon in Toronto for my son Aryan who sadly wasn't on the trip. My older son Rohaan who was on the trip with us thoroughly enjoyed his time golfing and spending time in nature....the disconnection from the daily grind is the true beauty of Il Borro. Thank You for making our 21st Anniversary celebrations extra special. We will forever remember this magical, spiritual, and therapeutic experience♥️.

The staff are beyond wonderful. Laela at the reception, juliao at osteria borro restaurant, Jean Paul the concierge, and Valeri the masseuse and facial person in the spa. Plus all the wonderful drivers taking us around on the property. This was one of the most relaxing trips we’ve ever had! Any request is taken care of in a second. The food was very good. Had dinner at the nice restaurant one night and it was excellent. Pomodorio was great for pizzas. Like Naples pizza. Outstanding. Tuscan Bistro was excellent too. The room was lovely but could use a little updating. We were in the medieval village which is so charming. The housekeeping was just ok. Didn’t leave certain supplies we would need and little dusting. All in all it was a fabulous stay. Thank you to everyone who works there!!!

You feel like you are living in a medieval village (because you are) without all the negatives of living in a medieval village. The restoration of the borgo and related facilities is rather amazing. Our room was in the borgo section rather than the hotel or villa sections, which we preferred (although everywhere there would be nice). It is a rather unique experience; beautiful and quiet. The rooms in the borgo retain their character while being modern. The restaurants were excellent, above all the gourmet restaurant. The facilities are extensive, especially if you want to ride horses, play tennis or just sit by one of the pools. It is easy to want to stay there and never leave until you have to.

If you want an authentic Tuscany experience it can’t get any better than this. The estate is truly vast and beautiful, one feels like one has been beamed into fairyland. Landscaping is amazing! The rooms are tastefully decorated and comfortable, with a great bathroom. I was travelling with my dogs and even they were welcomed in a unique way. The estate has a variety of restaurants to choose from, we loved the pizza one, and little shops which makes it very original. Service is impecable, every team member is friendly. I would go back anytime - it was a wonderful vacation.

Il Borro is an extraordinary property built into an ancient Tuscan village. The rooms, service, restaurant and property in the midst of the forest and hills is beautiful. Although the weather was a bit cold and misty, it didn't deter from any of the comfort and enjoyment whilst we did walk-abouts, lodged and dined. We were in a junior suite with ultimate space and comfort. The bed ultra comfortable. The room quiet. We enjoyed a wonderful tasting menu dinner at the higher-end restaurant. The cuisine, wine pairings and service were all excellent. The breakfast buffet ample with many delicious baked goods, eggs, charcuterie, cheeses... endless goodness. This was a splurge stay for us but we enjoyed every bit of it and would recommend to couples, families (of which we say many) and friends. Fantastic.

Opening your door each morning to the stone walls of a charming medieval village and wandering its narrow lanes with a few special shops makes for a remarkable holiday. The accommodations are large and lovely, from the Farragamo toiletries in the bathrooms to the fully equipped and modern kitchen. The Osteria at the foot of the village hill (yes, it's a bit of a climb back up to your apartment) has a relaxing feel and delicious food. There are many scenic drives and stunning hilltop villages to explore and a very helpful staff that is at the top of its game in every situation.
I can't wait to return.

We just returned from an amazing week at IL Borro. The views are INCREDIBLE. The peaceful location, the great staff, and the comfortable beds make for a fabulous vacation.
One important note - the resort is on top of a hillside about 5-8 minutes away from the IL Borro village by car. You will absolutely need a car to get around, as IL Borro does not offer shuttle services. But don't let the location scare you away - this place is worth getting a car and driving!
Also, the deal on LuxuryLink is fabulous. We bought the "Buy Now" package, and after splitting it between us - this was a real bargain.
