Mission point’s scenery is unmatchable. The lake views and landscaping is absolutely beautiful. The staff is INCREDIBLE. The wait staff noticed my daughter wanted to sit at a table with a pink flower so they moved the pink flowers to our table and made sure to give her a pink straw. This was just an example of how kind and accommodating they are. The rooms are very outdated, bad paint jobs(they just paint over old paint instead of sanding and do it the way they should and it makes everything look not nice). There was no vent in our bathroom. The beds were comfortable, comforters were very thin. The room and hotel is extremely clean (again back to the staff being amazing). The lobby is beautiful and has real wood burning fireplaces which was nice. Round island we ate at every morning for the b+b package- it’s not overly fancy but it is good and convenient with beautiful views (I would compare to a scramblers, IHOP, Bob Evans). The big green lawn was COVERED with goose poop for our stay, there were tons of geese, no one’s fault but just beware of this and bring appropriate shoes. They get your luggage from the ferry and bring it to your room and back to the ferry which was so convenient. My two big complaints why this place doesn't get 5 stars… the pool. We paid the extra money to stay somewhere with a heated pool, first week of June it was low 70s outside. The pool was colder than the lake. The the hot tub was wayyy overly hot. The staff said the pool is heated to 80degrees but feels colder sometimes, there’s no way. Do NOT stay here if you’re only doing it for the heated pool- you will be very disappointed. The other complaint is the pizza place - AWFUL. It’s so overly hyped I thought it was like wood fired pizza, we go down to get it and it’s like a collapsible table with a heater like at a gas station with pizza. It was kind of comical lol. The pizza tasted worse than a gas station and was so doughy and not even edible. 0/10. I would stay here again! I loved the people, the views, the convenience with luggage and carriage that runs every 30 min. Your walkable distance to everything but not right in the hustle and bustle (.7 miles to downtown) and it’s a beautiful walk. Just don’t count on the pool being heated whatsoever.

Resort has a great location - right on the water away from the hustle and bustle but quick walk to town. We stayed in the main lodge maritime suite. The lobby of the resort is beautiful and huge with a lot of places to gather or play games. We sat by a fireplace to warm! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Bike rentals are convenient and loved the bike ride around the island but it is a little pricey. Swimming pool is small but we didn’t use it - it was cold when we were there. Room was huge and gorgeous but very cold - heat wasn’t on despite temps in 40’s. Maintenance had to come and help but it still was chilly. The deck that is advertised as being private for the suite is oddly public with a public door out to it (they should label that door staff only, other guests did wander onto the deck). The view is ok but more the lawn and back of the main building than the lake. Liked the seating area by the windows. The bathroom has marble floors that are lovely but very cold but no slippers or robes were provided which seemed like a big miss. We didn’t see anything that was worn out despite other reviews.

Nice resort. It's quaint and somewhat refurbished. Very clean. Easy 10-15 minute walk from downtown/ferries. Very quiet area and was nice to be away from downtown but still close enough to go there if wanted to. Beautiful view of the Lake. Stayed in Main Lodge. Room was fine, decent amount of space. Lobby is huge and loved the many fireplaces and sitting areas. Our stay was before most things were open (like the pool, hot tub, gardens, etc.) so didn't get to take advantage of all the amenities. On site Bike rental was super convenient. Round Island Kitchen restaurant had great service and food. The pizza place and coffee shop in lower level were nice go-to's. Must take the history tour with Pat, one of the concierges. It was fantastic and so cool to learn about MPR history. All the staff is professional, extremely helpful and friendly! Highly recommend this resort.

Took the family up in early May to celebrate my 40th. Mom, Dad, 4 year old and 6 month old. Early in the season on the island was excellent--it was quiet, easy to get around, peaceful. It was a bit colder out than we expected, but that didn't slow us down. The staff at Mission Point was first class--they really went all out in making my 4 year old feel special at every turn. The meals we had on property were excellent. It was a wonderful stay and we can't wait to head back.

Spectacular location. Easy efficient check in. Feels like a private retreat but with many offerings for couples & families. We liked the yoga in the am. The grounds are extensive so there is a lot of space to roam and explore on this beachfront property. We stumbled on an employee garden the hotel offers to their staff. How very thoughtful!! The resort is a close walk to town or arch rock. We walked to both but there are horse and buggy cabs at the hotel that will take you to town or around the island. We had a two bedroom suite with one small bathroom. The bathroom was not an issue though and was well stocked. Good water pressure too. I enjoyed the lilac cream in the room. The beds were super comfortable and the room was extremely quiet. We were on the 2nd floor and not in the main hotel. It was still very lovely. I would stay there again. We tried round island patio dining. Very busy, a little bit of a wait but the staff was attentive while we waited for our meals. Drinks arrived quickly. Both meal and drinks were enjoyed.
