Dreams Jade

Luis and Alvaro were amazing! Luis was the hibachi chef and Alvaro was the server at the preferred pool. They both provided excellent service. Very personable. I am beyond thrilled with my service at dreams Jade.

Not worth it!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 17 hours ago

Our room was small, outdated, and not worth the price. It had a connecting door to the next room, so we could hear a noisy child while our 8-month-old baby was sleeping. It seemed odd to place two families in connecting rooms. Reception and room service rarely answered the phone. Our room key stopped working because the door lock battery was dead, leaving us locked out for an hour in 30°C heat while I was holding my baby. When I called reception, Rodrigo was unhelpful and transferred me without explaining the issue. The person he transferred me to wasn't helpful either. As compensation, we were offered a meal at the Preferred Club, despite children not being allowed there, and a late check-out. The next day, the room key failed again, and we were locked out for another hour. This delayed our packing, check-out, and airport transfer. Communication from Gabriel and Fidel was poor, although manager Oscar provided 600 pesos towards the transfer. The hotel itself is beautiful, but the rooms, service, and food were very average. We had a better experience at our Airbnb. I would recommend staying elsewhere.

Sargassum Issue for Me

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 23 hours ago

Sargassum reaction! I had an irritating reparatory response to the sargassum despite not having the reaction at other resorts in the area. I was in the minority of our group. The resort periodically removed sargassum from the shore but deposited in a very large pile at the north end of the beach to continue decomposing. I don’t know if this large pile added to the problem but I would think so. On the plus side, we found the staff very friendly and hardworking especially in the dining areas. We enjoyed the food as well.

10 out of 10

What an amazing stay. Our room was so spacious and over looked gardens with a view of the adult pool and ocean. We preferred the atmosphere around the main pool with the animation team who were great and chatty but not pushy. The staff here were the absolute best making sure you had everything you needed. Special shout out to Jose Marquez, Edwin and Johnathan the best waiters who felt like friends. We cannot fault this resort even with the building work going on around us and the occupancy only around 40%. The food and service were outstanding. Location was great with a short taxi ride into town around $12 each way.
