Dont listen to the bad reviews, STAY AT THE PLAZA
I hope this review helps those thinking about staying here & maybe giving it a second thought as I did after reading some of the reviews. In short, there is no question The Plaza was not everything I dreamed it would be, it exceeded my expectations! The service was insane, the rooms and the guest areas were beautiful, and the atmosphere is everything you hoped it would be staying here. Jacqueline in the front desk looked after us and went out of her way to ensure our stay was perfect. She was so nice and has a beautiful way about her. We did the High Tea and were so lucky to be treated by Portofino. He was over the top, treated us like he'd known us 20yrs and made the already wonderful experience even better! Bella knew we were celebrating a special anniversary and arranged for beautiful rose petals upon our arrival. Prior to my arrival, I reached out to the concierge and was lucky enough to meet Ryan for his assistance. To say Ryan understood his assignment is an understatement! Found us some incredible out of the usual NY spots for us to enjoy! He made a huge difference! The rooms is something I resurched alot and went back and forth on. Again sacred by some of the reviews. I setteled on the room with the terrace. It was very well worth it. Its nothing crazy but to have an outdoor space to have some drinks and hear the relaxing sound of the waterfall was certainly worth it! All in all, this is def the wow, bucket list, have to stay here NYC it place to stay!

Chic Tea in NYC
We had afternoon tea today and it was wonderful. I came with my mom and friend, and all of us left full and happy. Porfirio Cortes was our server and he was so sweet and attentive to our allergies. He also had the chef come out to check in on allergies. They did a great job with the vegan menu (I’m dairy free) and made substitutions for anything we couldn’t eat. They didn’t rush us to leave either. It was a great trip!

The plaza Hotel- as iconic as ever
My wife and I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary at The plaza hotel, NYC. We were married there in 1986 and go back from time to time knowing that we would experience the best hospitality in the world. Aya ( guest experience (, arranged our accommodations with superior communication to us and then the staff to ready our wonderful room. Knowing that not only were we married there but my son and his wife were as well, Aya arranged some wonderful touches that greeted us when we entered our room. the bellmen Kevin and Washeed helped us with friendly service with our luggage from the car, to the room. the champagne bar staff could not have been more friendly and terrific; Farid lead with his smile and provided excellent service at the Champagne bar for dinks of our wonderful breakfast the next day. We could not have had a better experience. Thanks to the entire staff at the always iconic Plaza
