My wife and I have been to Quail several times in the past few years. It’s an exceptional upgrade from 15-20 years past. The reception staff are wonderful. The breakfast service and food choices are perfect. The golf course staff are terrific, and the golf course is in great shape. Our room had a lovely view of the lake. We recently brought friends who hadn’t been there for 20 years, and they loved it. They will be coming back too.

My husband and I were celebrating our 30th anniversary and Quail Lodge did not disappoint. The room was amazing, the resort peaceful and the staff so pleasant. We golfed, ate amazing food and had a fabulous time. Honestly, I wish we had taken this trip sooner. We will be back.

Been going to Quail lodge for years and was just there a month and a half before the last visit. They greet me with “have you ever stayed with us??? This time they put me on 2nd floor in room 246- I have stayed in that building before with no issues. This room is obviously not one they should rent out- it is the last room on that side and anytime somebody uses the water taking showers, flushing toilets you will here it running really load for 30 seconds- it is nonstop since it is a pretty large building and people seams to be using their bathrooms in the middle of the night also. I told them my issue, and she said she would make a note that I did not like the room for my next stay??! They then texted me asking how the stay is and I said it was not great since this is unbearable not being able to sleep listening to plumbing all night and she then writes back that I should know better and not pick that building next time?? Didn’t see it in the description when I booked with them… Really put off how little they care so we ended up checking out first thing in the morning and not a word from the manager- seems more like a cheap hotel and we had all our dinners with them, 2 breakfast and also played golf so not sure if they feel we are cheap? Not planning on going back

I grew up in Carmel and my family is there. As my own family has grown, we have gotten to the point where we like staying at Quail and having our own space/not intruding on family for an extended period of time. It also makes going home feel extra special, like a little vacation. They always take wonderful care of us, the food is excellent, the staff is warm and welcoming, and the location is great. We enjoy the wine hour in the afternoon, my kids love the pool and s’mores in the evenings. For us, it is perfect and feels like home. I saw that one reviewer said it feels dated…I have not experienced that. My rooms have always been updated and also, Carmel sometimes feels a little old fashioned. It isn’t the big city and that’s the appeal. Until recently, there were no addresses downtown, homes were quite modest, and people prefer to be understated. That’s part of the charm of the area. I highly recommend Quail Lodge.

I love this hotel along with my friends. The rooms are spacious and charming. Some even overlook a beautiful pond. There is a golf course attached to the hotel, which is very popular. The hotel also has a heated swimming pool and a putting green complete with putters and golf balls. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is always a treat. My friends and I have been spending a three-day mini vacation there every year, and we will continue to do so in the future.
