Gone downhill

This was my 5th visit to the resort. I traveled with my SNL and we stayed in a villa for a week. Our last visit was in 2022 and from then, it was a very different experience. The villa was still nice which included the living room. The hikes were the best part of our trip. The food was absolutely terrible. They advertise fresh healthy food and I don’t consider big mounds of French fries at dinner very healthy. There is no longer breakfast and lunch buffets and what food they did provide was pretty bad. We used to brag about how fantastic the food was, but I don’t think we would consider going back again unless they return to the wellness resort they use to be. We were not informed at all when we booked our reservation that there were many many changes to the resort. One being that it’s more like any other hotel which also now allowed children and families. We paid $4,000 EACH which included 3 spa treatments and it definitely was not worth the money. The classes they included were good, but they offered a lot less options than in the past. It felt like from what the website still showed when we booked our stay (I also looked while we were still there) that there was a lot of false advertising. We had conversations with many prior guests and they also were extremely disappointed in how things had changed. But, also the fact that none of us had been told of the changes so we could make an informed decision of whether or not we would still choose to visit the resort was not okay.

Not recommended.

I did the diva for a day with my sisters to celebrate my 40th. While the massage and pedicure were great (massage was one of the best I have ever had). The facial I had was the worst I have ever had. Cleansed twice and one set of products, no steam, no extraction, nothing. It started late and ended early so it wasn’t even a full 45 minutes. I would not recommend. When I brought this up at the front desk I did not have a great customer service experience.

Beauty & goodness everywhere: landcape, food, employees, & resort ammenities

My time at Red Mountain Resort was memorable! I had THE nicest driver pick me up at the airport, delicious and bountiful food preparation at our workshop, and gorgeous walks all around the property. My room had a delightful view, plus the bed and shower were great. I missed not having a robe in the room, as their policy has changed to offer them only in the spa. Overall, I highly recommend staying here.

Magical place! Will be back!

This place is extraordinary. The rooms are comfortable (the bed!) and the King Suite is great for an individual splurge or for friends to gather. The staff is exceptional and helpful, and the views and amenities make the stay magical. Bring a bathing suit!

Can't recommend despite the scenery

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 months ago

We stayed 6 nights and paid for a meal included package. Pros: beautiful scenery, stunning. Good quality food. Room clean and functional. Classes that were included in our package I enjoyed. Spa is excellent and well priced. Cons: The resort has been under management changes and the staff and facilities are stressed and it shows. At check in, no one explained their confusing tipping policy. We were told at check in that there would be no housekeeping, but there was and we were not aware that housekeeping would come every three days. The included lunch is a small selection of pre-made sandwiches, like you would find in an airport. One day the kitchen was closed and there was no breakfast and no explanation. The outdoor pools were closed (makes sense) but the indoor pool on the resort map was also closed--no explanation given and that was a disappointment. I never got an email confirmation or a receipt following my stay. When I write a review I consider "Would I recommend this to a friend?" Unfortunately, last least for now, the cons outweigh the pros.

Last August my sister and I used my Luxury Link package to Red Mountain Spa in Saint George, Utah. The spa is all-inclusive and the hikes, classes, lectures, lessons and food are great. The food is healthy, fresh, well-prepared and delicious. The classes go non-stop all day so there is always something to do. We both had GREAT massages - inclusive with the package, a big perk there.

At The Red Mountain Spa in Utah, we were changed to a villa upon request. They were extremely accommodating. It is a lovely setting with wonderful spa food.
