Perfection! The hospitality is unmatched, every staff member is courteous, and goes above and beyond to make your experience premium and special. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms spacious and the views gorgeous. We’ve stayed behind the gates in Punta Mita, 1/2 dozen times this is our first at St. Regis, we will be back soon.

Wow, what a memorable experience. Check-in was so comfortable in the lobby area with beautiful views. Little bites they bring over throughout the day at the pool. I thought it’d be a bit snobby but every single employee makes you feel welcome and comfortable. Food quality is delicious. The beach is beautiful and you can walk but it is not swim-able, unfortunately. Rocks at the bottom make it imposible, I don’t even think water shoes will solve the issue. We saw people with floaties in order to go in the water. Maybe tide/storms change it but in October it was bad. The hotel is near the town and it feels safe.

We stayed at the The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort in April and had a very disappointing experience—made worse by the fact that the hotel has not responded to multiple follow-up emails. While the property itself is beautiful, the service fell far below expectations, especially given the premium price point. We were assigned a butler upon arrival, who was attentive for about 24 hours and then completely stopped responding to messages for the remainder of our stay. Communication overall was disorganized, with multiple text threads and no clear point of contact. During our stay, my fiancé became ill and needed something as simple as coconut water. A staff member kindly offered to have it sent to our room, but it never arrived. Attempts to follow up with our butler went unanswered. We also had a serious issue with the air conditioning in our room, which was stuck at 85 degrees overnight. The first maintenance attempt was unsuccessful due to a language barrier, and despite reaching out multiple times, no one followed up. It took over 24 hours and a direct call to the front desk to finally resolve the issue—while my fiancé was sick and uncomfortable. The food was also disappointing. As a vegetarian, I was served a pepperoni pizza instead of cheese via room service, and other meals lacked quality. At the breakfast buffet, we weren’t informed about additional food stations located outside and only discovered them on our final morning. For the price, the food and service were not what you’d expect from a St. Regis property. Checkout was chaotic, with no organization or effort to gather feedback about our stay. Overall, we’re extremely disappointed—not just with the experience itself, but with the lack of response from management afterward. For a hotel of this caliber, both the service and accountability were far below expectations.

While it is about a 45+ minute drive from the Puerto Vallarta airport, once you arrive at Punta Mita, which is gated and secure, it is a lovely property. Good restaurant selections, including one restaurant right on the beach with beautiful sunsets! Personable staff who accommodates your requests.

I stayed at the St. Regis Punta Mita with my family and loved it. The hotel is stunning, with beautiful green areas and easy access via golf carts. The pools are great, especially the family pool, and the service is exceptional with a dedicated butler always available. The food is excellent but very expensive. One downside is that my 3 year old had to pay for meals (except breakfast), which isn’t common in other hotels in the area. Also, aside from the kids club, there aren’t many activities for children. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely return.
