Wedding stay!

We stayed as a large family gathering for a wedding. The hotel is beautiful & the amenities look lovely, I personally didn’t get to swim in the pool but it did look very inviting! We had several issues over the weekend, mostly from a customer service point of view. On check-in I paid for all rooms, put on the credit card hold & advised the names of the guests still to arrive. On arrival, some were advised their room hadn’t been paid & they needed payment! Lucky I was there & explained again & it was sorted after about a 15 minute period of standing there. An email I had sent earlier in the week asking about the pink Langham car had gone unreturned, I was sent to ask the Concierge, they said they had received it & had checked with the driver - the answer was a no, but it would’ve been a late night trip so I understood that but they didn’t even return my email. Another couple of issues were not sending up an Uber Eats order that sat at the Concierge desk for half an hour, a request for an extra blanket wasn’t done & the groom needed to go down to reception to ask for one, the clerk was clearly the one he had spoken to on the phone. The standout staffing wise was the breakfast attendant who was both friendly and attentive, thank you again to her. For the price & reputation of the hotel, I’d expect much better service.

We found mould in our room on check in food was sub par and buffet food cold or dry. Service was good and friendly staff.

Outstanding Hotel, Service and amenities. The Staff were the real surprise, everyone was fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. They are trained so well and they make your stay feel relaxed and happy.

Amazing Stay

We had an amazing stay. The entire process of making the reservation, checking in, and checking out were very easy. The rooms were nice and the bed was super comfortable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is in a great location also. I would recommend staying here to anyone.

Langham lapse

This review covers a four night stay in April and a three day stay in May. The Langham is our go to hotel in Sydney since moving interstate, we do love to stay there but the last two stays have been a little disappointing, particularly in respect of food. Missed parts of orders, the quality of the food has diminished and this time we ate in James, the British-inspired restaurant. As a Brit myself, I don't really see it and was quite disappointed. Most of us struggled to make sense of the menu but all said the meat-based dishes were well done, Not sure if James supplies the in-room dining experience but it has definitely declined since the change of restaurant earlier this year. The accommodation remains one stand out but please do some maintenance - we've been in the same suite several times now and the toilet still has flushing issues. Another stand out is the staff - the text messaging service is fantastic, always so helpful, the valets excellent, reception is always a little mixed, room service friendly and helpful. No mini bar? No coffee service after a certain time? Come on, we expect more. Will we continue to return? Yes, because we love the Langham but hoping that is just a small blip on the landscape.
