Eclectic rhythms and a lively atmosphere embrace guests as they arrive to Live Aqua Beach Resort Cancun. This relaxing yet contemporary Adults Only, All-Inclusive luxury, a part of the Lifestyle collection of Preferred Hotels & Resorts, seems to have achieved the impossible: an upscale all-inclusive resort with a Cancun address that's low-key enough to be considered a wellness retreat. Bright, spacious rooms in shades of white and cream contrast with the turquoise of seaside infinity pools. Service is top-notch here, and ambient music from a resident DJ lends itself to a Zen mindset.

Edouard was excellent!!! He was VERY helpful always tending to guest needs even before they ask. Wonderful experience with him. He helped my husband in and out of the pool after recent knee replacement surgery. He kept an eye on him while still serving other guests.

Pros: food was fantastic, lots of variety - their selling point in my opinion. Staff was kind. The beetlejuice Halloween show was fun, loved that. Cons: we had a non-club room and it felt obvious at times (other ppl getting better treatment/service/front of line at restaurants who were clearly club members or regulars). Lots of upselling, we paid a lot for an all inclusive pckg yet lots of ppl try to upsell you on other vacation pckgs, drinks at restaurants, better pool/beach chairs, etc on a daily basis. When we arrived we were exhausted and when we finally got to check in, were sat down and given a 20 minute + sales pitch for something we had no interest in. It just soured things for us a bit from the get go. Getting a pool chair was an absolute pain, ppl would leave their towels in the morning for hours to “reserve” despite the 30minute warning signs which none of the staff enforced. This is not the fault of the resort, but where the beach is you can rarely swim (always flagged red). General vibe was more of an older crowd and as a younger couple we were hoping for something a bit different I guess. Overall, it’s one of those places where your money is going to determine your level of enjoyment/treatment and by us doing just a basic room + all inclusive pckg, it just felt like we got the bare minimum of what’s provided - nothing necessarily “above and beyond” or memorable. Idk, maybe all inclusives in Mexico are just not for us, we’re not resort regulars & have only been to one other all incl. before in Spain for the same price, and the Spain resort was far far better, so perhaps expectations were too high going into this trip. Maybe this is standard for resorts in Cancún? This is no criticism to the staff, everyone was kind and worked hard. Didn’t hate it, didn’t love it - was alright:)

Azur was the best restaurant. Mario the Chef and our servers Susana and Mauricio were incredible. I would highly recommend a visit to this resort and especially to Azur. Such a special place!! Our whole stay was perfect from start to finish and we can’t wait to come back.

Mauricio was fantastic! The service, the food, the friendly staff, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Mario’s cooking was top notch, Susanna was so charming and welcoming. Truly one of the best parts of staying at Live Aqua, the Azur restaurant will not disappoint! Thank you!

This place knows how to take care of you, and offer high end amenities and cuisine. All staff was exceptional, but Eduard made sure our every need were taken care of by the pool area. It made for an extra special experience. If you are looking the best cancun vacation I can not recommend live aqua enough. We'll be back!!
