Didn’t want to leave!

Really nice concierge guy, older chap. Very helpful. I stayed for an event at the hotel. Everything was excellent. Room is fully loaded. The guest lounge on the 22nd floor is a really nice touch.

Great hotel and facilities. Staff on arrival super nice, friendly and accommodating. Aicha was great helping me with all my requests and questions. Upgraded to a panoramic suite, amazing views and room. Gym was great with good equipment and spacious. Great pool for a hotel. Looking forward to staying again, hopefully soon

Wonderful service

Service at the Okura is top notch. I stayed in 3 different hotels in my 9 days in Amsterdam, and the Okura is by far the best. 3 different ones because the Okura was not available for my entire stay. The hotel was located near a bus stop which can get you anywhere in and out of the city. Alternatively, it’s just a quick walk to the metro station. Emad greeted me with a smile every morning and asked if I wanted a bottle of water before I head out on my tours of the day. He remembered my name just from a first meeting when he took my bags up to my room. He helped me with my request to the concierge about tickets to Van Gogh museum. Talk about a perk, if you buy the ticket from the hotel, they provide a corporate pass for you for the day and you can use it any time of the day for the museum and audio guide. While others had to buy timed tickets. I booked the executive room which gives access to the lounge on the 22nd floor. The lounge was small, but had great views of Amsterdam west and south. The snacks were good, but not plentiful. They run out quickly, but It did have all day wine, beer and sodas from 7 am - 10 pm. My room was very large with a large bathtub and separate shower and had great views of Amsterdam. You get a haiku every night with turn down service. There are 2 Michelin star restaurants on the property, I went to one of them Ciel Bleu. The meal was fantastic but so much food in their tasting menu. I had to take the last dish to go. It had wine pairings that I couldn’t finish. Good thing my room was just downstairs. It was a wonderful visit and I wish I could’ve stayed the entire time there.

Okura a must stay experience!

Okura is an absolutely fabulous hotel. Highly recommend for anyone wishing to experience Amsterdam. The hotel amenities are second to none. The onsite restaurant SAZANKA is hibachi style on the next level. The cooking experience and attention to detail are exquisite, not to mention the quality and taste is superb. The hotel staff goes above and beyond to assist, cannot say enough about the front desk staff, especially Delores. She was amazing! Also, recommend the canal cruise provided through the hotel as a must do. Capt. William on The Valarie gave us a one of kind canal excursion from a true local focused on a quality experience.
