A Birthday I Will Never Forget – Pure Magic at the Winter Garden I worked with KLM for many years in Montreal, and this hotel was one of our regular stays during training visits to Amsterdam. Ever since then, I had always dreamed of having breakfast in the beautiful Winter Garden. This year, on my birthday, I finally had the chance—and it exceeded all expectations. It was truly one of the most wonderful experiences of my life. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Ramzy—what an absolute gentleman. His kindness and attentiveness made us feel instantly at home. During check-in, I mentioned that I was celebrating a very special day—my birthday—and that I was so happy to finally be there. As we enjoyed the incredible breakfast (the selection was simply amazing!), something magical happened. Ramzy and his team surprised me by singing “Happy Birthday” in multiple languages—so thoughtful and touching! He even presented me with a beautiful plate of chocolates with “Happy Birthday” written on it. I was truly moved—it made me feel so special. We were also wonderfully taken care of by Aida, who was attentive and kind, and we had a lovely conversation with Anthony, the busboy, who is studying medical research—such an inspiring young man. At the end of our visit, Ramzy personally walked us to the front door. There, we met Robert, who greeted us warmly and wished me a happy birthday as well. As we stepped outside, he actually came running after me to give me a small souvenir from the hotel. I was overwhelmed—at that moment, I have never felt so appreciated and cared for. I cannot express enough gratitude to Ramzy and his entire team. Your kindness, attention to detail, and genuine warmth made my birthday unforgettable. You turned a simple breakfast into a lifelong memory. Thank you, Ramzy—you have an incredible team. Thank you to everyone involved, including Robert—please continue spreading such beautiful kindness. You truly made my day. Until we meet again… 💖

The best location in the city! Welcoming team and very responsive. The rooms,are very nice and kleen. The breakfast hall is exquisite 👌 The cullinnary delights are the best we had ever! Will be back!!

Beautiful hotel in downtown. Easy walk to everything. Lovely staff and accommodations. Stay for breakfast, you won’t be disappointed!

We had the pleasure of staying at this hotel before our cruise trip and it was magnificent. The location is prime, central, and close to everything, thus it can be loud and very crowded. The room is luxurious, complete with amazing amenities. The restaurant has big bright windows overlooking the square, where we had a delicious lunch and dinner. Big shout out to Mr. Ferry, who not only made us laugh with his jokes, but also was very attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the area.

I spent 2 nights here with my son and it was a wonderful experience. The room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. The bathroom also has all of the amenities that one could need. The decor of the bedroom and bathroom was very modern and exactly what I like. There was also a book in the bedroom including portraits of 80 seniors from Amsterdam with short stories. An interesting read and a beautiful project! Breakfast was phenomenal with so much to choose from, and all in an Art Nouveau/Belle Epoque inspired room. We had tea at the cafe giving on the Dam and it was also really nice to watch people bustling by whilst sipping tea and enjoying time with the family. Unfortunately we did not have the time to enjoy any spa treatments, but that will be a reason to return for a couple’s weekend with my husband! All staff were very kind, welcoming and helpful. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable!
