Dunbrody Country House Hotel

Well we decided to give it one last last last chance but the entire meal was a disaster. We arrived and my elderly but well capable parents were with us and the waiter showed us to our table and then walked off. I moved the heavy chair for my mum and we exchanged that glance to say, well that was poor show! then we ordered our meal and we started with the Hake which was bland at best. I ordered the cod for a main which was the equivalent in size of 2 x Fish Fingers, the slow cooked beef cheeks were tiny too. However the big issue was i had to ask twice for our mains and they eventually arrived 1.5 hours after ordering our starter. Absolutely deplorable service. We definitely will never be back, Kevin you need to get your ass in gear. I have been coming to dunbrody for over 20 years and its steadily gotten worse and worse.

Beautiful Georgian-era country house set in lovely gardens on a small estate. Dunbrody House has lots of great aspects: a first class restaurant, very comfortable cocktail bar and lounge, a fine historic building, friendly and efficient staff throughout - and it even has its own pub which is an added bonus. Also, a great location for exploring south west Ireland. However, Dunbrody is not quite a five star hotel; despite booking a superior room, our double bed was rather small and definitely not king sized as requested. Small beds are a definite NO! We would stay again - provided we get a king size.

A wonderful place, takes me back to old Ireland. The hotel is immaculate, the staff are amazing and the food is some of the best food I have tasted anywhere in the world.

Fabulous..really does not do Dunbrody House justice. From the beautiful room, amazing friendly staff (Tommy) and the food just WOW!!!! 5 Star .... Had dinner in The Local (Pub on site) Pat - thank you for your hospitality and wonderful food and atmosphere. Last but not least.. Kevin was filming in his Studio and took time out to chat and have a picture with us was just the icing on the cake! Thank you to all in Dunbrody House for making our stay a wonderful experience!

I’m just home from a wonderful three nights in Dunbrody house hotel. Everything was lovely. The food was excellent. I’m a coeliac and there was no difficulty with gluten free options. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind - lovely sitting rooms where one can sit, read and watch the pheasants outside! The staff were professional, helpful and friendly. I’d highly recommend a stay in Dunbrody House.
