The Dolli at Acropolis

This is a fantastic hotel that deserves its 5-star status. It is decorated in a gracious, elegantly modern style. There is an excellent, unobstructed view of the Acropolis from the Breakfast Room and Rooftop Bar. The staff radiates an air of competence, and is professional, polite and deferential, and took care to help me order gluten-free food at each Breakfast. Most importantly, the location of the Dolli is perfect – it is within easy walking distance of the Acropolis (if you consider UPHILL easy), the Museum of the Acropolis, the Ancient Agora and Roman Agora, Syntagma Square and all the attractions of the Plaka. The only time we needed a cab was to see the National Museum of Archeology. I would not hesitate to recommend the Dolli to even the pickiest traveler.

Having stayed next door 53 years ago, The Dolli gave a luxurious pleasure rediscovering the updated Plaka area of Athens. The view of the Acropolis from The Dolli rooftop bar was just as breath-taking and satisfying. The Dolli is unique in its decor, yet equally homely and welcoming, especially with a friendly and attentive staff. Sadly our stay was only 3 nights before moving to Cape Sounio. Congratulations and thank you Dolli!

Grand and uninterrupted view of Acropolis from luxurious rooftop bar/restaurant nicely appointed in a modern fashion elevates to the sphere of Greek Gods and Goddesses at least in your mind. Service is SUPERB attentive to you every minute while your stay. Real 5 star experience.

The service is impeccable. The rooftop bar and restaurant has the best view of the Acropolis. The hotel decor has been done up very tastefully - chic! In the heart of the city the location could not be better. I’d highly recommend this hotel if you visit Athens.

THE DOLLI, what to say except it’s one of the nicest, if not the nicest places to stay. The staff are ever present, understated and always present. The design is warm, and super chic, without being stuffy. A lot of thought has gone into placing various original works of art and objects in the right places to create what is an uplifting atmosphere that resonates throughout the hotel. The rooms are superb, the bed is as fluffy as you can imagine and the shower pressure is undeniable. The food & quality, from breakfast to dinner, is without fault. The service, always restrained and with a smile, is an example of old school elegance that eludes most hotels. The hotel’s tag line, “A hotel to live” lives up in every way.
