Grand Hotel Central Barcelona

Beautiful well appointed room with very comfortable beds and high end linens. Extremely attentive and helpful staff, and the rooftop bar is not to be missed, as the view and food were both perfect. Location is also excellent, an easy walk to shops, sights and restaurants. 10/10

What a fabulous stay at this hotel. Check-in was efficient and as it was so late, we went straight to our room and to bed. Our bed was one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in and I had a perfect nights sleep. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of fruits, yoghurts, cereals, cakes, smoked salmon, Spanish omelette, scrambled eggs, grilled vegetables, there was something there for everyone. Very good coffee too! The location is ideal, in the gothic quarter of Barcelona with so many intriguing little streets to explore and numerous bars and restaurants within easy walking distance of the hotel. After a day of sightseeing we spent an hour or two at the rooftop bar looking out over the city while enjoying a couple of glasses of champagne while the sun went down. We ate dinner in the hotel resturant which had a varied menu, really great attentive staff who were able to recommend certain dishes and wine to accompany the dishes we’d chosen. We chose a variety of tapas and all of the food was delicious, there wasn’t a dish we did not like. Finished with an Espresso Martini with an orange twist!! Checkout the next day at 12pm was no issue at all and the hotel kept hold of our cases for us while we spent a second day sightseeing and shopping - on return to the hotel at the end of the day our cases were brought straight to us and the staff had arranged a taxi for us. Everything about this hotel was just brilliant, from the staff to the service to the hotel itself and the little additions like the oranges left in our room, and chocolates from a local shop left out for us. If we visit Barcelona again we will most certainly be back.

wonderful hotel, was my second time. the rooms are very comfortable, the roof top is amazing w/great menu and staff and the view!! the location is perfect because you are in the main gothic walking/shopping area and 10 minute walk from the beach. highly recommend.

The rooftop offers the best views, some of the friendliest staff who couldn't be more helpful, and an amazing location. Plus, the food is really good! The only thing I would change is bring back full plate meals as well as the tapas in both restaurants. So add pull dining options.

I visited Barcelona for the first time and met my daughter studying abroad. The hotel was wonderful and in a great location. The staff was excellent and the hotel itself was very clean with terrific accommodations. The rooftop lounge and pool are beautiful and a wonderful place to come back to from a day of site seeing. I highly recommend this hotel.
